My Better Half Variety Band from Charlotte, NC

Based in the Charlotte, NC area, My Better Half is a husband and wife musical duo that has performed throughout the Southeast for many years. This talented twosome, comprised of Ellen and Frank Adams, brings together their complementary vocal styles and instrumental skills to create a sound that’s both nostalgic and modern. With Ellen’s soulful voice and Frank’s guitar-driven melodies, their music is a perfect blend of influences from different genres and eras. From Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues and Beach to Party/Dance Favorites, Motown, Country and even Yacht Rock, you’re in for a fun-filled ride through some of the best music of the past 50 years! From a chance meeting at a music store that developed into a musical and personal partnership, Ellen and Frank bring warmth and humor to each performance. Drawing inspiration from their own story, their music is embodied with a sense of authenticity making their shows feel relatable and intimate. Whether they’re belting out upbeat anthems or rendering heartfelt ballads, My Better Half’s chemistry and camaraderie on stage are undeniable, leaving fans of all ages entranced and eager for more! Private Events - From upscale country clubs and hotels to a casual get-together in your backyard, My Better Half adds just the right touch to any situation. Weddings - Our song list was created with everyone’s enjoyment in mind: from grandparents right down to the nieces and nephews… so that everyone hears the songs they know and love. In addition, we offer DJ and MC service (introducing the wedding party, first dances, etc) at no additional charge. We will work with you and/or your event planner to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Rehearsal Dinners - These special occasions have become a particular favorite for us to perform at. These can range from a more structured function with a timeline to the relaxed vibe of a casual “welcome party”. No matter which approach you take, as a smaller ensemble, we offer the ultimate in flexibility to ensure it's an evening you'll never forget. Wineries/Restaurants - At these types of venues, we're there to provide the ideal soundtrack and ambiance to enhance the experience your guests have. Our role is to strike a flawless balance between creating just the right atmosphere and knowing when to be slightly “entertainment forward”. In short….this is our wheelhouse….and we enjoy our role in helping to create a superb afternoon or evening. Festivals/Parties - Street fairs, neighborhood parties, Alive After Five events……these types of shows tend to be LOTS of fun! We'll show up with a heaping helping of Rock and Roll, Soul/R&B, ‘70’s Dance, Retro ‘80’s, Motown, Yacht Rock, Reggae, Beach and Country to deliver a family-friendly, fun-filled show appropriate for all ages.
