Breakwater Band Beach Band from Garland, TX

The Breakwater band is a DFW, Texas-based party band playing a mix of island, rock, Cajun, and your trop-rock phavorites, Texas Music with a few originals thrown in to spice things up! We can do Solo, Duo or trio as needed. The Breakwater Band are: Kelly Brown Singer/Songwriter/Lyricist; guitar; has performed professionally for 30+ years in bands in the Dallas area. A Dallas native, Kelly began playing guitar when he was 9 and formed his first band at the age of 11. Before forming The Breakwater Band, Kelly performed with The Bad Monkeys, The Sand Band, Black Cat Bone and Blind Date. Woodie Ray Lawson Dallas born bassist and vocalist, Woodie Ray started his career at age 11 playing ive country radio shows with his father's bank. As a pro player since 1969, he has played with Austin bands Octave Doctors, Dogs at Play and the Doak Snead Band and Port Aransas band Triggerfish. He has also played with such notables as Houston Pops Orchestra and Bo Diddley. Eric Boyett Steel Drums/Percussion/backup vocals: Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he learned how to play Steel drums and preformed locally untiol moving to Cedar Creek Lake area in 2013. Eric has taught and performed steel drums, orchestral percussion, and drum set in and around Dallas for the last 10 years. A band director by trade, he is currenty an active freelance educator, performer, and adjudicator in the greater North Texas area as well as in Louisiana.
