Cascade Sounds Lounge Trio of flute, guitar, and bass offers complete versatility to enhance your special occasion to your liking. With a blend of classical and jazz training, we bring sophisticated ambiance to corporate and community events, concerts, weddings, parties and more. As a lounge trio, we specialize in the 1950s and 1960s vibe. However, our repertoire actually extends from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. As theatre musicians, we enjoy playing popular show tunes from throughout the decades. Whether you're looking for a classic and classy atmosphere or a cool and contemporary vibe, we tailor our performance to suit your preferences. In addition to the lounge trio, we offer classical ensembles with flute, ranging from duos to quintets combined with violin, cello, and other woodwinds and strings. Our well-regarded Cascade Sounds Wind Quintet has performed to high accolades for concert stages, senior living facilities, community events and commencement ceremonies throughout the Puget Sound region. Individually, we perform with professional symphony orchestras and theaters including The Fifth Avenue Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Village Theatre, Federal Way Symphony, Bellevue Opera and other well-respected organizations.

We were pleased to hire the Cascade Sounds Trio for our Anniversary party event. The music was delightful, a lively mix of classical and modern selections, and we heard many compliments from our guests! The Trio artistically blended our musical requests, including songs from our wedding, with the classical pieces they had prepared. Kate Johnson is easy to work with, very professional, punctual, and accomodating. I highly recommend this ensemble for your special event!

Kate Johnson's Cascade Sounds Duo performed at COLORFUL FETE: Mad Hatters' Garden Parry in May 2023 with aplomb and verve. Kate was very easy to work with -- responsive and thoughtful. The duo accommodated our set list requests and added their own pieces, which were well chosen. The audience response was overwhelmingly positive. I would work with Kate Johnson's Duo (or trio, quintet) again!
