I have been playing the violin for over 52 years. I am a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree and Illinois State University with a Master of Music Degree in 1994. I have performed as a soloist as well as being a member of several orchestras and ensembles during this time. I am a former member of the Bloomington-Normal Symphony, the Peoria Symphony, and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony all in Illinois. I am currently a first violinist with the Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St John’s. I've been fortunate to have played with such celebrities as Bob Hope, George Burns, Pearl Baily, Victor Borge, Shirley Jones, Tony Bennett, Roy Clark, Vince Gill, The Moody Blues, Dave Brubeck, Itzhak Perlman, Nadia Salerno Sonnenberg, Dudley Moore, David Ogden Stiers
I am available for weddings, parties, and special events. I am also able to perform with other musicians as well. I have a variety of music that ranges from traditional classical for weddings to jazz, pop and contemporary for your special event. I have the ability to use a recorded accompaniment as background for the solo violin part to enhance any performance. Special musical requests can usually be accommodated with advanced noticed.
