Olga Turkina graduated from Eastman School of Music for Violin performance and has competed and won awards at numerous international competitions. Olga grew up in a musical family in Mexico where she started to play violin when she was 8 years old and by the time she was 12 she was already performing as a soloist with multiple orchestras. Olga has had the opportunity to participate in many festivals throughout Europe and the US. She currently resides in New York, where she is an active concert violinist, teacher, and member of various orchestras throughout the Tri-state area and Pennsylvania. Besides classical music, Olga enjoys playing various musical genres such as Jazz, Latin music, Folk, Gypsy, Pop and even Rock. Olga's ability to perform diverse styles of music has been enhanced by more than a decade of regular performances in various musical ensembles throughout the New York Area. She loves to play alone or accompanied by piano, guitar, cello and back tracks. She can accommodate any instrumental group size, such as duos, string trios, quartets or a chamber orchestra.
