Unobtrusive Wedding and Event Photography With an Accent on Candor I am a freelance photographer based in western Massachusetts and New York City, with experience that includes weddings, banquets and other special events, artist representation, public relations, local newspapers, and travel photography. As your photographer on your special day, I will be a faithful and discreet observer, and I will create intimate mementos of your wedding or other occasion in western or southern New England, or eastern New York. Dates in the metropolitan New York City area are also possible, as are destination events. What I enjoy most about my work as a wedding photographer is the excitement of being part of a day of enormous importance and emotional intensity to my clients. I love watching my clients and their guests, anticipating moments of peak expressiveness, and capturing those moments to tell the story of the day. I imagine that I am acting as my clients' eyes, seeing what they are too busy to see, paying attention to every detail, and then presenting my clients with intimate images of the laughter, the fun, the embraces, and the tears that have made their wedding day momentous for them and different from every other wedding that I have been privileged to shoot. Ultimately, my photography is about story-telling, about spontaneous expressions and gestures that my clients will want to see again and again as they remember a cherished event. I try very hard to stay out of the spotlight as I work, to be as nearly invisible as I can. I don't enjoy directing people and events; my style is to be a very careful observer as events unfold around me and to create images of those events that will be a delight to my clients, their families, and their friends.
