FundraiserReviewed on May 10, 2010From Huntington Beach, CA

Radha was extremely professional. As an added bonus she brought her 18 year old daugther who is an accomplished violinist. She arrived in plenty of time to set up. They provided background music for the cocktail hour for our fund raising event. Many of the attendees remarked on how much the harp added to the evening. We are a group with many musicians (Philharmonic Society of Orange County) raising money for Youth Music Programs, so they were playing for a very discerning audience.

CelebrationReviewed on October 8, 2014From San Diego, CA

Radha lacked the personality, but made up for it with talent. (She was moody and in-personable). However, a harpist does not need to speak much, and her music was downright wonderful. She brought an amplifier which made sure that the music was audible throughout the event. Just judging the music, she was absolutely wonderful.

:

Dearest Channa, I am sorry that I appeared to be moody and in personable. I am not that person. I met you when my main concern was the weather and setting up the harp. It had drizzled rain on my way there. I'm playing outside I had driven 3.5 hours over 170 miles to get there and knew it would take me nearly 30 minutes alone to tune the harp. When I have to think of set up, I generally don't speak, because, there are too many technical details. I knew how important it was to you to make a good impression on the people who were attending the event. My focus was on delivering good music. I regret that you perceived it as moody.

FuneralReviewed on May 24, 2015From Chatsworth, CA

Radha was wonderful! She arrived early, went over music selections with me, and even had me sing the chosen hymn so she could adjust to my key! She also helped my daughter while she was giving her eulogy. When my daughter choked up, Radha started playing softly to help her through it! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional musician!

Christmas PartyReviewed on December 18, 2015From Westlake Village, CA

Wonderful talented beyond! Not friendly to guest! Multiple complaints regarding her rude abrasive demeanor. Left my home no words! Simply packed up and walked out the door. Not someone I would have back. Again very very talented Harpist. She seemed annoyed to be there.

Very talented musician. She took the gig at a very late date and was reasonably priced. She helped make my son's wedding a very special event.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on January 12, 2020From Woodland Hills, CA

Mrs. Radha was the icing on the cake at my dinner party. Her harp was such a beauty and the tunes that rang from it was magical. She was professional and a delight to be around. I would definitely hire her for any occasion. Simply a class act! ????

WeddingReviewed on May 29, 2018From Los Angeles, CA

Radha was our dream harpist for our wedding - she completely understood the type of music we wanted to compliment the pre and post ceremony. She was easy to reach and supportive of what we consider perhaps more unconventional wedding harp music. To have her present on our day was a true gift and we are grateful for her and her time - thank you Radha!

Birthday Party (Kids)Reviewed on July 30, 2024From Glendale, CA

I'm shocked & in disbelief at the lack of professionalism from Radha Botofasina the harpist. What was supposed to be a special moment for my 1 year old birthday party turned to an embarrassment. She arrived late, needed me to help set up, delaying start. Music was barely audible, took many breaks plus a 15-min bathroom break. She made large plate of food during her playing time. Her behavior worsened when celebrity guest arrived, she stoped playing to ask intrusive questions about him. I urged her to continue playing. She took too long to pack, causing me to incur extra charges. Guests mistook her for a Craigslist hire or a relative due to her inappropriate behavior.

:

I did not speak to any celebrity guest.I arrived ahead of time. Had to move a table and 4 chairs out of the way in order to set up. One bathroom break,a break to teach the guests the S. Wonder bday song. . MY HARP WAS PLUGGED INTO THE AMP which I turned up when his wife said they couldn't hear the playing very well. The space was quite small and overcrowded the guest sat in front of my amp, blocking the sound. I am shocked. The caterer offered me a plate. I played 3 hours. Every song they requested and some twice. I packed up my gear was out the door @3:18. The gifts and food were still being packed up. I had to move a giant toy car out of my way to leave The contract indicated two things: electrical outlet & parking. Nobody told me where to I set up in a tiny corner surrounded guests . Conrad did not provide parking. I had to walk over a block with my harp and amp. They said the gathering would be small . There was 30 plus guests + waitstaff in a 400sq ' area.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on October 31, 2024From Santa Barbara, CA

She was on time, had great communication, and very nice however the delivery was short. The day of my wedding the songs were unrecognizable and it sounded like she didn’t know the songs and it was out of tune. Nobody could recognize the music. Unfortunately it was the downfall of my wedding. Was very disappointed to hear the songs sounding so off
