The Heartstrings Bluegrass Band from Nashville, TN

Introducing The Heartstrings, a Nashville-based old-time and bluegrass band playing the original country sound that helped make Music City famous. Our members have played on every kind of stage, from the hallowed halls of the Grand Ole Opry to hometown parades, weddings, festivals, farm dinners, square dances, and just about everything in between. We’re probably unlike most Nashville bands you’ve heard. You won’t find us playing the usual covers on Broadway. We’re more likely to be tucked into the corner of a neighborhood bar leading an old-time jam, digging up tunes from old 78 records, or playing a square dance for hundreds of guests at a Tennessee farm. The Heartstrings are led by award-winning old-time guitarist and country singer Liz Pickard, who brings together some of the most accomplished old-time and bluegrass musicians in Nashville. Members of the band have been playing together in one form or another for more than 10 years, and it shows. They play with confidence and fluidity that only comes from many years of comradery and practice. Our sound is authentic enough for an East Tennessee fiddle contest, but polished enough for a wedding, corporate event, or private party. If you want live music that brings some genuine, down-home Tennessee character to your event, you’ve found it.
