Every year wedding blogs start off the engagement season with their lists of the top wedding trends. We are loving what we’re seeing on some of our favorite sites!
OneWed.com’s 2011 wedding trends include a return to sophistication, a focus on ethnic influences, and outdoor venues. The Knot is also predicting a return to elegance, but along with this renewed sophistication they see fun elements like food trucks and photo booths making an appearance.
Our own wedding professionals are seeing similar trends with bands like The Sound Encounter Orchestra of Chicago and The Baytones of Saginaw, Michigan reporting increased 2011 interest in big bands and sophisticated dancing. But, on the other side entertainers like Moon on the Water of New Jersey and The Magic of Steelgraves of Kennebunk, Maine are also seeing an increase in brides and grooms wanting to provide family-friendly entertainment.
It seems like smart brides and grooms know that you can have an elegant family-friendly event as long as you keep the kids occupied.
Finally, we have to mention our favorite thing that we read in a trend article, Perfect Wedding Guide’s 2011 trends include a bigger focus on wedding entertainment! Not just more money for wedding entertainment, but an over all focus on making your wedding memorable!
Now, that's a trend we can all get behind!
