I hired Dave Champagne to play his bagpipes at my father’s memorial. The memorial park told us that it was going to be an outside event. Just minutes before start-time, we were informed that the service would be held in a chapel. Bagpipes are outdoor instruments! Dave was able to pivot and played just outside the venue. He even faded at the end of “Amazing Grace”. A true performer! His professionalism made for a memorable service that my father would have loved.

Dave did a wonderful job at my mother's funeral. He travelled all the way to Palmdale, was there on time and did not even charge me a sur-charge like others tried to request. Dave was perfect as our bagpiper. Sounded great, looked great, very accommodating and professional - and respectful and sensitive to our needs (graveside). Dave Champagne is ever the consummate professional. He took the time to speak with me to get a better understanding of what I was expecting from him. He listened patiently and answered any questions I had as well as suggesting different genres of music that were appropriate for my father's service. He walked me through the entire service - where he would begin, procession, posturing, etc. He definitely knows what he is doing. The time he took to acquaint himself with me and my father definitely speaks volumes about his character and commitment. If you're looking for someone who is professional, caring, and compassionate, then Dave is definitely your man!

Dave was the upmost professional. He showed up and discussed with the Deacon how the order of the memorial service for my father was to go which took a lot of pressure off of my mother. Bravo! Dave Champagne was incredible! He arrived early and was ready to play before the doors opened. Dave knew all the songs I wanted played, and he played them beautifully! He was dressed in traditional bagpiper attire (kilt, etc.) and was professional and attentive. Perfection! Everyone who knew he was coming thought he was amazing! Everyone who was surprised by us having a bagpiper was in awe of him, and we all thought it was the best send-off we could’ve given our Mom.

It was my daughters wedding day, my parents were from Scotland and we incorporated several Scottish rituals into the service. Dave was great! He arrived early in full a kilt attire and wanted to be sure he knew everything that was expected of him. being we are a Scottish family that grew up listening to the pipes. My siblings were impressed with his talent and song selection. He freely mingled with the guest and was accommodating with pictures. I would highly reccoment Dave for anyone wanting an authentic Scottish piper at their occasion!
