Hylton was a pleasure to work with. He played for a family memebers graveside on St. Patrick's Day. Perhaps the busiest day of the year for him. Also, it was a damp Sunday morning. He could have opted out but did not! Many thanks to Hylton. I would definitely recommend him!

We had a medieval themed wedding reception and Hylton added the perfect touch to the cocktail hour. He was incredibly prompt talented and professional . I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an artist

Hylton was fantastic! I got so many compliments from our guests about what a wonderful part of the ceremony Hylton’s piping was. I would not hesitate to hire him again for a special occasion, and I really enjoyed meeting him!

Hylton Cruickshank was professional and courteous. At the 11th hour I was able to hire him and he was at the gravesite early. He did just what we needed at gravesite, and played the agreed upon music. He was patient at the end of the service and waited while I had to attend to guests and family. His playing was a surprise to all the family, and especially noted that he wore the Royal Stewart kilt, which is our family line. I would hire him in a heartbeat and will recommend him to anyone looking for a bagpiper for any occasion. Thank you, Kathryn Roberts

Hylton was wonderful to have at our Celebration of Life event for my father. He arrived early and kept in touch with me before his scheduled time. He was polite and professional and our family was so touched by his performance. I would highly recommend Hylton and would hire him again.

From the outset, Hylton was a pleasure to work with. Our event was canceled for the original venue due to a Covid infection, but Hilton was able to accommodate an outdoor performance in a private setting. All planning was done as a surprise for a 50th wedding anniversary, and Hylton brought class and uniqueness to the occasion. It was excellent!

Hylton was amazing! He contacted me prior to the wedding day. He showed up early and reviewed the ceremony plan. He was dressed beautifully in his dress kilt. And his playing was perfect!! Hylton was the very definition of professional, and was instrumental in making my wedding day an incredibly unique experience. Worth every penny! I surprised my best friend at her wedding reception with Hylton as she is from Boston and always loved bagpipers. As it was a surprise, it involved a lot of communication and some sneaking and being hid in a back room, but Hylton was more than happy to accommodate. Due to wedding scheduling, he was only able to play a few songs, but it was perfect! She was so shocked she cried! Book him!

Hylton was terrific. He was better than we had even hoped. He was universally accepted and loved by the other cast members. He joined in and truly became one with us. Sometimes hired folks just come, do their number and then leave. Hylton did not do that. We had a show in two acts and Hylton always arrived in more than enough time to get ready for his part and then stayed to join in the curtain call. In addition, he moved into the foyer, with some of the other performers, and greeted the patrons as they left. He was just super.

Hylton was incredibly professional and accomodating. He played at my dad's funeral when we had to plan everything in a very short period of time. He was very understanding and easy going on where he was going to play and what we requested him to play. We were spreading my dad's ashes in a field while Hylton played and when it started to rain pretty heavily, he just stepped under a tree and continued playing without missing a beat. He is a great musician and the family members who came for the spreading of the ashes commented later that that was the most beautiful part of the day and how beautiful the bagpipe was. It was exactly like my dad would have wanted.
