Ian underwood was simply perfect. I hired him for my mother's funeral service and he did an amazing job. It was raining the day of her service and zian stood in the rain and it was so beautiful. I know my mother was shining down on us. He looked amazing and sounded even better. I would recommend him to anyone looking for bagpipes for any occasion.

Ian was outstanding. He was wonderful to work with and helped us to make all the right musical selections as we were planning our father's funeral. He arrived with plenty of time and did a beautiful job performing. The music was phenomenal and added tremendously to the event. It was truly memorable and I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a bagpiper for any type of event!

Ian played the bagpipes for my Dad's burial service on 5/1/25. He was awesome to work with from the start. His choice of music was excellent, and I don't think there was a dry eye during his rendition of Amazing Grace. My family all commented on what a beautiful touch this added to the service. I can't thank him enough and will definitely reach out to him for future family events.

I was extremely pleased with the piper Ian Underwood. He had a nice selection of videos of various songs on his website that was helpful in planning for the Committal service. He was very helpful in giving feedback on my selections and the order of the songs for the service. He also played very beautifully! It has meant a lot to us!

Ian did a tremendous job of playing the bagpipes at our event to honor a fallen veteran. He worked with me to play a song, "Sergeants MacKenzie's March" which honors a Scottish fallen WW1 soldier and was used in the movie "We Were Soldiers Once..." which he had not played before. He learned it in 2 days and hit it outta the park! Then when our ceremony had to make last minute changes he seamlessly adjusted. Ian is a great musician consummate professional and I look forward to hiring him again soon!

Ian played at my husband's memorial service. It was cold and windy and wet. We were under a pavilion but he was a thorough pro and the weather did not affect his performance at all. So many of the guests commented on his expertise with the pipes and we as a family were so appreciative of his playing. He also found and learned a song we requested. He looked great and played well even though the weather did not cooperate. Thank you Ian.

We were grateful for Ian’s talents. He played at my mother-in-laws memorial service and he was extremely accommodating. We had some very specific requests and Ian was agreeable to all of them. Unfortunately we had a horribly rainy day, the event was outside, and we asked Ian to lead a procession down Main Street to the restaurant for our reception. Ian and his talents made this event extra special for our family.

Ian was a great addition to my event. He's a very talented bagpiper. Inbetween sets we talked about some of the Scottish related history of the historic site and he changed his second set to include more tunes that were outlawed by the British after the Battle of Culoden. Overall he was a pleasure to have at the site, easy to work with and, as I said before, a very talented bagpiper.

Ian is a great musician who arrived early and started playing as people arrived for the memorial. He stood a respectful distance from the grave, but close enough that his music provided wonderful background music. His song choices were appropriate and appreciated, just what my mother wanted. We couldn’t have been more pleased and are truly grateful for what this bagpiper added to the occasion.

Coming from Scotland we know our pipes and Ian was up there with the best of them. He was onsite before we arrived set up and ready to go. He piped the Bride in and after the ceremony piped us both out from the Cop Cot in Central Park. Ian gave us the feeling that he was happy to perform for us and that he was in no rush to depart either. All in all we would always recommend this piper.
