The event was Military graveside service on an island off the coast of Maine, for my husband who was the last direct descendant of his Scottish family. Catherine was wonderful, very professional and brought a sense of dignity to a lovely fall day, while dragonflies flitted everywhere! Many who attended I am sure never saw a bagpiper in person as her strains of O Danny Boy and Amazing Grace leant solemnity to the occasion. I was thrilled to find Gig Masters as I live across our nation and planned everything long distance. I highly recommend Irish Hills Piper. Dr. Mary McVicar

The memorial service was a very lovely service befitting a most decorated Naval Officer. There was even a flyover after the opening prayer for Admiral McVicar. It was an honor and a privilege to play for the McVicar family, especially since my Father was also a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Catherine played me down the aisle at my wedding and she did an incredible job. My husband’s family is Scottish and they loved her performance and felt right at home. She was prompt, professional, and very easy to work with. We literally reached out to her 2 days before the wedding and she responded immediately and made room in her schedule for us. She added so much to our day and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Professional and accommodating Catherine kept in contact with me from February to our date in October. Our wedding rehearsal dinner 80-plus guests loved her playing and expressed that it was a unique celebration for our Scottish Gordon wedding event celebration. All of us in the family agree that Catherine was the highlight of our memorial service for our Mother. It was difficult for her to play on a pitching boat in the ocean, but she braced herself and performed far beyond any expectations.
