I play the bagpipe commonly known as the Great Highland Bagpipe or the Irish Warpipe. I generally perform alone but can perform with one or more other pipers and drummers. The most common demands for pipers are weddings, funerals, and parties for which I have an ample repertoire. I play a lot of the ceol mor, i.e., the great salutes, laments, etc. often called the "classical music of the pipes" and won the professional grade competition on 5/27/2016 at Scottish Fest U.S.A. at the Orange County Fairgrounds. I won the professional Pipe Major Angus MacDonald Western Regional Championship on 11/18/2017. I also play a lot of Irish and Scotch stepdance tunes most commonly associated with the auld Scotch culture of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I have been an happy member of the American Federation of Musicians since August 15, 1996.
