Not meeting Robert before his performance was a little mixup in his arrival but he picked a location in the park and started playing. He started with somber tunes but when requested he change to up beat music which matched my husbands and his personality. Ross,my husband also played the pipes so setting and choices were perfect. Ross would have loved it. Mr Burns is talented and could play tunes familiar to the ears . A joy to have him and referral may come from the senior facility where I live Robert dined with the family later and had no trouble making conversation with others around him.

Thank you for you warm comments and the treasured sharing at the family meal. For readers, it should be noted I was contracted to play at a park, was given no specific place in the park, arrived very early to find none of the memorial party at the park, was unable to reach anyone by telephone, text, or E-mail, and so I started piping at the appointed time at a proper location and the memorial party arrived afterwards. Also, my contact provided "to commence piping at 3:00 P.M. with performance of Amazing Grace before the benediction and an a light, upbeat, lively tune after the benediction for the closing of the memorial" but after the family showed up there was confusion as to what I was to play before the benediction beyond Amazing Grace which is uniformly performed as a dirge. I thus tried my best to accommodate the change in directions.

Piper Robert Burns did a truly memorable presentation for us who played Danny boy, an amazing grace, and another great song. Then we broke for the pledgr of allegiance and a toast to all pilots that have died after that, he played TAPS America, the beautiful and the Star-Spangled Banner the 310 veterans pilots in attendance stood and sang with his bagpipe America, the beautiful and the Star-Spangled Banner I don't know what further tribute they could've given to this wonderful presentation I'm a Scotsman myself

Very professional, and prepared, even showing up early for the event. The sound of the pipes welcomed our Wedding Guests to the reception, and it was also a lovely surprise to the golfers who were still enjoying their game on the surrounding Coronado Golf Course. It was so nice to have a wee bit of home, at our special event, and I would recommend Robert Burns for your next event.

Robert Burns is a wonderfully talented piper who listened and executed every request and added his own creative elements. His version of "Scotland the Brave" was the highlight of my father's celebration of life and I would highly recommend him. A few of his special talents are his vast knowledge of Celtic culture and his treasure trove of tunes. Great guy as well.

Robert was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and flexible as far as his time and event requirements. He was punctual and presentation was spot on. We enjoyed the knowledge of Scottish rites and history he offered when asked. There were no songs that were requested he did not know and he had multiple pipes to choose from.
