Stephen answered every message from the nervous father of the bride promptly. Was at the church early and stayed for a little impromptu performance of Scotland the Brave as the couple exited the church to the delight if everyone. Would recommend to anyone. Was a great experience working with him.

I cannot begin to describe how pleased we were with Mr., Holter! He was professional, friendly AND talented. He arrived early and asked if he could be of any help. Wow!! His talent and his personality were talked about quite a bit. In our opinion, he went above and beyond what we expected and have already given his name out as a great addition to an event. Soooo glad to have had him as a part of our daughters big day!!!

We were honored to have Stephen Holter as a guest in our school. He was so easy going with the children...speaking on their level, keeping their attention and giving them so many little facts throughout the performance. His appearance was neat, clean and professional. The children (and staff) were actively involved with dancing. Stephen showed them a simple Irish step which they attempted but quickly added many of their own. Stephen was a true Irish gentleman and the children and staff enjoyed every bit of his performance. He made our St. Patrick's Day celebration extra special! A BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Holter!

Magical! With his buoyant personality, vast knowledge of all things piping, and his brilliant, sparkling performance, Stephen Sutherland Holter was absolutely brilliant. Our audience ranged from my 13 year old niece to my 46 year old sister-and then to my mother, whose 88th birthday brought Stephen to my parents' humble home. My mother alternately tapped, clapped, and wept, all in joy. At times, it was surreal. There, playing in the kitchen of the house in which my family was raised, stood Stephen, in full piper regalia, playing in the soft lights of the house and into the dark of night: it was as if we were cast into a misty, Celtic, meadow from days of yore.

As the groom I didn't get to see very much of Stephens performance but, I did recieve a large amount of compliments on his play. I was told by a good friend (and bagpipe lover) that he was one of the best he had heard. My friend actually kept getting drinks and going back outside to listen to him play. In the lead up to the wedding Stephen was very accommodating with any request that I had and used his experience to help us plan where he would play. He showed up on time and was ready to play when we wanted. I would highly recommend Stephen if you are looking for a highly talented, true professional!

The funeral could not have been more perfect! Stephen was punctual, polite, and his music was awesome. Everyone commented on the beautiful songs he chose to play. I actually got chills when he started playing in the church, and his music was beautiful at the cemetery as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone for any occasion. I had contacted a few people for quotes and information on obtaining a piper for our wedding. Stephen was the first to get back to me and the most professional. He is very talented, informative and experienced. Even though he had a previous arrangement and had to leave as soon as our ceremony was over he agreed to play for our wedding. He showed up early and practiced, worked well with the photographer, and was inviting to our guests. The value of his service surpassed the cost. His performance was Great and we received so many compliments on his behalf. Great performance!
