Otterly Inspired was prefect for our event. They were very easy to work with, showed up early and created all kinds of balloon animals for the event. I would highly recommend them for future events.

Linda was fantastic! Her balloon creations and face paintings were amazing and the kids just loved them! They were so detailed. She was great with the children and very professional. She did glitter tattoos as well which were a big hit with the girls. Overall, great experience with Linda. I would recommend her to anyway. She is very talented.

Linda was fantastic! She was very good at engaging the children in what she was doing, listened to what they wanted and offered them suggestions when they seemed stumped for balloon ideas. She made sure each and every child had a balloon and a painted face and stayed until everyone was satisfied. Everyone at our party was amazed at her talent and had a great time. Thanks, Linda! Your designs and presence at our event made this very special and you created some wonderful memories for my family and friends for years to come!

Linda's talent was amazing! Everyone loved her mermaid balloons. My grandson enjoyed his T-Rex balloon hat. The tattoos were adorable. I loved the disney tattoos and so did the girls. She had all of the adults hysterical laughing too. At the end, Linda made beautiful balloon flowers, an angel and love birds for the family. She made sure that every child was taken care of with both balloons and tattoos. She was definitely without a doubt the hit of the party.

Linda was great with the kids and took a large amount of orders. She stayed longer than we had expected and we appreciated her.

Birthday Party (Kids)Reviewed on January 3, 2010From Tampa, FL

Linda was talented and engaged the kids fairly well. She was over an our late for the event and then seemed "put off" when there was an extra older child that wanted her face painted. I wasn't expectating theme park attire and attitude however, I was expecting energy and excitement. I felt there was neither.

:

Seems there was big misinterpretation. She seemed happy w/ work @ party & tipped me extra. I was told wd be 7 children for 5 yr old b'day party. Started w/ glitter tattoos. They loved them & more & more older people wanted them. @ one point I suggested temporary switch to face paint so young children can get them before may need to leave, then I'd be willing to stay till dark (extra 2+ hours free) for more glit tats, etc. on teens/adults. Hostess then said I shd only paint youngest children & did not allow any other work. I felt bad, especially as one teen really wanted paint, & other teens/adults wanted glitter tats, etc, that I wanted to do, but hostess wdn't allow

I book Linda for 4pm-5pm. She did not arrive till 5.20pm, but she did stay over the hr booking time. Some of my guest come up to me and tell me she was a little rude when talking to some of the kids. also she will not make ballon swords ect... I did recommend Linda to a friend but after my friend saw everything she decided she will look for someone else. Linda's face painting and ballon making is good. But i will not book her again.

:

As client was told, I was coming from an out-of-town face & body art convention & kept in touch but unfortunately was late. When I responded to bid request I clearly said 1 hour not enough for balloons & face painting for so many children. I gave children a choice. First child chose balloon, the rest followed her. Then one wanted face also. I said we'll see if time for 2nd turn. Was only time for a few & hostess protested. I worked 40 extra free minutes. As I told her, refrain from swords was to protect her very nice home with a lot of people in small area since children tend to get wild in sword fights. She did not disagree then, in which case I would have made swor

Linda is definitely talented; she does very pretty face-painting and balloon twisting. And we enjoyed having her at the party. But, she also arrived very late, and was in a grumpy mood. I personally found this pretty funny--what's funnier that a grumpy clown?--but I can imagine that another type of person would not like a grumpy, complaining clown who arrived late. That said, she did cheer up over the course of the party and also stayed pretty late and didn't charge extra. So all in all, we had a good experience, but we also are pretty relaxed people.

:

Did make driving mistakes on way. I'm glad she found most early "gripes" humorous - that's how they were intended! She was busy with other things & tangentially around when I arrived & set up, so maybe that's why misinterpreted. I have knee trouble, which is not usually an issue, as very few stairs in Florida. She had steep ones w/o banisters. It was challenging getting me & my stuff (most of which is in large cooler on wheels) up & down steps. When male magician arrived, I had just gotten me & stuff in. He asked me to get him help for his stuff. I conveyed that beyond his earshot with some comparison humour. Btw, she told me of a stair-free route for leaving :)

Linda does a great job making balloon characters and glitter tattoos. She is a very nice lady, however, she doesn't talk to kids as well as adults. She can be very abrupt with kids. That being said, the kids did love the balloons and glitter tattoos.

Not what I expected.

:

I was quite surprised to receive this review. I like constructive criticism so I can learn and improve, but I really don't know what this review is about. I twisted balloons and painted faces for all children who wanted, and some adults. I also gave a number of the women glitter tattoos. Though hired for 1 1/2 hours, I worked over two hours until the requests for balloons, facepainting and glitter tattoos ended. No complaints were raised at the party. I did not see the hostess much - she said she was busy in the kitchen while I and most guests were outside. When I left she said, seemingly sincerely, that she was very pleased with and thankful for my entertainm

Ms Rich was a half hour late. We also had complaints by both the children and the parents that she was rude to them.

:

When I called about travel delay coming from out-of-town in inclement weather, she said it was absolutely OK & of no concern. Throughout the party I kept hearing oo's, ah's & wow's at the artwork. I felt bad about the delay though, so threw in a bunch of extra time for free after verifying it was OK with the mom, they weren't going anywhere after. When I did, in a firm and friendly way, deny more requests other than late arrivals & extra for the birthday child while I cleaned up, apparently those gently turned away considered it rude for me not to grant all requests. I've learned a bit to not have dissatisfaction based in unrealistic expectations repeat.

I have to be honest & will say up front that my sister talked to Linda at the end of the party (I was to upset) & she was responsive to feedback. I had about 10 kids at the party, they were all 5-7 yrs old. Linda knew from phone conversations the ages of the kids that would be there. She had no patience with the kids at all, I had 1 mother get so upset that she said something to me about the way her kid was being treated! I feel like if you know what you are coming into be prepared & if you do not like kids do not take the job. The balloons were beautiful; I just wish that she could have been fun and friendly with the kids they didn't get that from her at all!

:

I am glad that I prodded the sister at the end for specific input, otherwise this would have been a total shock. Our memories of my being engaged in fun ways with many children throughout the party apparently differ. Apparently there was an early issue raised to the mother, which seems to have affected her view of the whole party, including when she was often not in my area. I was told that a mom was upset because I apparently asked a child, I believe more than once, to please stop repeatedly taking/touching balloons, etc. and to look with his eyes, not his hands. There were a number of children coming near me for fun throughout the party.

First the women, Linda, called me 15 before the start time of my daughter's party to tell me she had FALLEN ASLEEP ON HER SOFA WHILE GETTING READY FOR THE EVENT and she would be 15 minis. late. Since I didn't really have a choice but to say ok or not have anything at the party . I said ok. She finally showed 30-45 mins late. by then family, friends, and kids were everywhere I let her get straight to work. She was so slow(15-20 min/balloon) and work was not very good. she spent 1/2 the time on phone trying to look stuff up. told her only do things she knew so no time would be wasted. Very unhappy! NOT WORTH THE MONEY! stayed a little late but still didnt make it up.

I was told by several parents that she spoke to the children in a rude manner and snatched something out of a Childs hand at one point when the child picked up something from her table. She said her business is based on fairness and that she will not provide a 2nd service to a child until every child has gotten 1 but not every child wanted one thing and when the kids started Getting in line for 2nd things she refused to give it to them after they waited in line for 20 min.My husband explained that it was ok for them to get as many as they liked if they waited in line for it and that we were paying her but she argued with my husband about it. I had 2 Parents leave

:

I began seconds as soon as all children who wanted and were waiting for firsts got them. The only exception was that I did make something for one of the birthday twins I had not seen (busy in bounce house) based on what other guests said he was interested in.

did a great job but was asked by customer to make balloon after time expired and was "quoted as saying sorry balloons are for kids with there faces not painted ????

:

Thank you for the high rating. I'm sorry to read that there was an issue. I was hired as one artist for 1 1/2 hours, but provided two artists. We were both busy the entire time. I had other obligations afterwards and could not, nor was requested to, stay beyond the 1 1/2 hours. During the last 10 or 20 minutes, when it was clear all children's requests would take longer, we assigned line cut-offs, with the general policy exception, for fairness, that all children present should receive at least one balloon creation or facepainting. This way, even those whose parents wanted them to wait until after eating, or were in arcade longer, had a chance to get something.

I do not understand this, since at the party she only praised my work and kept saying how happy she was with my services. Maybe she misinterpreted the scoring.

Linda was an hour late for the bday party, after arriving with out as much as even a "sorry" Linda did with my daughter first who asked for Tumbelina fairy and got some random rose on her forehead and random purple things on her face, the other kids were waiting and asking for the fairies and butterfly's Linda attempted to do them, Which was a total joke! I WISH I COULD POST THE PICS FOR YOU TO SEE!She was ALSO VERY rude to the kids!I let the last child get their face painted i asked her to leave and refused to pay her the remaining money and all she had to say for herself was" you are right"DO NOT HIRE THIS RUDE, LATE AND NON FACE PAINTING PERSON!!!!!!!!!

:

I was unfortunately running 45 minutes behind & tried to call, left a message at the venue, then client called me.She pleasantly said it was fine, kids were just getting served dessert.I first set up where she asked but the venue was so dimly lit I couldn't see the faces, shapes and colors I was painting. The first child was her daughter, wearing a pink dress & introduced herself as Thumbelina.Tho very dark, to my memory I painted a center rose & side hearts on her forehead, connected with. Strand of pearls, with cheek & eye accents, all in colors complementing her complexion & dress. it was very challenging to paint delicate in the dark. I moved near a window after a
