Jim Davidson and the Black Canyon Ramblers Bluegrass Band from Gunnison, CO

Jim Davidson is based out of the Gunnison Valley of Colorado, home to the magnificent Black Canyon. We specialize in traditional acoustic bluegrass, folk, country and Americana music and have opened for The Wailers (yes, THE Wailers :), L'il Smokies, the Fretliners and Floodgate Operators, and headlined at numerous local public and private events such Gunnison Arts' Sundays @ 6, the Crested Butte Arts Fest, The Toyota and Mountain Dew Après-ski Concert Series at Butte66, the Mosko Moto Dusty Lizard Campouts in Silverton, Co and Moab UT and other local events and venues. The Black Canyon Ramblers band is comprised of the following artists: Matt Shugert - Lead Vocals / Guitar / Masters Degree in Music Madeline Shugert - Vocals / Clawhammer Banjo / Masters Degree in Music Brian Camp - Standup Bass / Five Decades Performance Experience Drew Murdza- Mandolin / Violin / Three Decades Performance Experience Jim Davidson - Vocals / Fingerstyle and Rhythm Guitar / Five Decades Performance Experience Pricing depends on number of sets needed, round-trip drive time and any lodging and other expenses. The Ramblers will provide their own professional sound equipment when necessary and there is an extra charge for providing complete sound gear and a sound engineer. A starting rule of thumb for pricing with sound gear and engineer is $1,200 per hour plus expenses; however, extensive travel times, lodging, etc can significantly affect the overall budgeting.
