King Wilkie's Dream is a four-piece, acoustic group from the Twin Cities. Made up of fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and upright bass, the music is a mix of bluegrass, classic country, original numbers, and a bit of pop. The music is good, the arrangements are fresh, the vocal harmonies will knock your socks off, and the show is a lot of fun! The bandmembers have the experience to please any audience, from traditionalists, to hipsters, to corporate employee gatherings. We have played festivals, clubs, weddings, wineries, fairs, grocery store openings, concerts, and summer park gigs. We've played corporate events for the Mayo Clinic, Incertec, and Payscale Inc., and received very nice reviews you can read for yourself. Whether we are the main event, or background music, your guests will be impressed and have fun with King Wilkie's Dream!
Some of our band members have toured the world, and our guitar player, John Niemann, spent several years touring with both the All Star Shoe Band on the Prairie Home Companion Show, and Peter Ostroushko and the Mando Boys. King Wilkie's Dream released a CD in September of 2018, and was featured as the cover story in Minnesota Bluegrass Magazine in June of 2019. We are veterans of the bluegrass music scene in the Midwest, and committed to bringing a well-rehearsed, fun, musical experience to our audience. Our repertoire is varied, and ever-growing, and we have something for everyone!

King Wilkie's Dream was a great fit four our company outing. They were able to accommodate our noise permit to not play over a certain noise level. The band was very professional and kind. They really provided the ambience we were looking to have for this particular company party that involved kids and adults. I would highly recommend King Wilkie's Dream to anyone looking to have a live band performance at a party or company event. Thanks again!!
