About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

We are a lively three- or four-piece band based out of Atlanta with eight years of experience performing together. We play Americana, bluegrass, blues and folk tunes injected with the funkiness necessary to get both grandparents and children up dancing. We also can play a bride down the aisle, as sweet as can be. In addition, we provide DJ services, so you can have an acoustic cocktail hour or dinner, and then crank the party up during the reception. We have years of experience performing at weddings, corporate events, galas, parties, holiday shindigs, festivals and other special events. We are available to play around the Metro Atlanta area and can travel to events in areas such as Greenville, Chattanooga, Asheville, Birmingham, and Savannah. TESTIMONIALS “So thankful I came across Sweet Auburn String Band. For our event being in Alabama, they were so easy to work with and absolutely made our museum exhibition opening everything it was. I gave them free rein on song choices and everything they selected and played was phenomenal, completely setting the perfect mood for the evening. People came up to me all night asking about this band! I will easily use them for another event here in the future!” – Rachel "The Sweet Auburn String Band played at our wedding reception, and we couldn't have been happier with the music. The band members were very nice and professional, and our guests raved (and are still raving) about their songs and musicianship." -Marianne "Having Sweet Auburn String Band play at our wedding reception was one of the highlights of the night. So many of our guests remarked to us afterwards how much they enjoyed the music, and how much fun they had on the dance floor. They guys are truly talented musicians and know how to craft the music to fit the flow of the evening." - Megan "For our southern-styled wedding, we were looking for a bluegrass band that could deliver a sweet tempo, but also turn it up to get our guests on the dance floor. We ran into Sweet Auburn String Band by sheer luck while riding our bikes at the Streets Alive festival in the Inman Park neighborhood. We got their information and later booked them for our wedding at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan. Leading up to the wedding the band was prompt, professional, and accommodating to our needs. They all carried themselves like gentleman, but also as true professionals. They were able to take requests and learn a song for our recessional. They showed up 30 minutes early to the event and dressed to the style of our wedding. We've had many guest comment months later how much they enjoyed the band. We got a lot more than we could ever have imagined or bargained for. I wouldn't only highly recommend Sweet Auburn String Band, I would put them as the best choice." - Daniel “We absolutely loved having the Sweet Auburn String Band play at our wedding. They were so friendly and amazing musicians and everyone had a great time dancing the night away.” - Molly

FundraiserReviewed on August 20, 2019From Fayetteville, GA

The Sweet Auburn String Band added the needed ambiance to our event. The guys were extremely nice and professional. They were able to make accommodations to our event's specific needs, and everything worked out perfectly. With an incredible mixture of genres, the Sweet Auburn String Band made the songs their own, and brought them out in a contemporary folk kind of way. Our organization is extremely grateful for the professionalism, talent, and overall atmosphere that was provided for our event. I would absolutely recommend the Sweet Auburn String Band to anyone who is looking for a great time with great music! Thanks guys!

WeddingReviewed on October 24, 2017From Gainesville, GA

Hiring Sweet Auburn String Band for our wedding was one of the BEST decisions we made to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. They were accommodating, flexible, responsive to any question or concern I had prior to the day. Every guest was extremely impressed with their music, how they presented, and overall how awesome they were. I can't recommend SASB enough and I hope to work with them again for any event in the future. Highly, highly recommend you will not regret it!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on October 21, 2018From Atlanta, GA

We worked with Sweet Auburn strong band for our wedding reception and they were exactly what we were looking for (blue grass that you can dance to). Their music was great-a mix of their own songs and some blue grass takes on classics! They did a great job getting everyone excited! They helped us make dinner announcements and announce the milestones of the evening. They also let one of my friends play Mandelin with them on a few songs! They were such a special part of our night and made our special day amazing! Will was so easy to work with and very responsive!
