John Steven Gurney was GREAT !!! He is an incredible artist. We have had magicians, face painting, dunk tanks, etc..... however, John was the best person/talent we have had yet! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for talent/entertainment for any event! He showed up early, prepared and everyone he drew was very impressed. He's is a great artist and nice overall guy. Thanks for the memories!

He was the hit of our wedding! Everyone wanted to sit down with him and get there drawing done. We actually had to pay him extra to stay longer as the line never died down. If you're looking for something fun and unique that your guest will love, John is that person for you. All my guest loved that they had something to take home that they could remember the wedding by.

John willingly traveled over 2 hours to our wedding reception and while we had planned only 4 hours, he graciously agreed to 2 more because everyone loved his work and he had a constant line all night. All his pictures captured each guest and made such it such a fun time! He was fast, efficient and friendly! We are so thankful to have found him on here!

If I could give 6 out of 5 stars for John I would. He was great to have at our wedding reception (even though we kept him over an hour past the agreed end time). Very friendly, very professional, very talented. His art was a hit for sure! 10/10 recommend!

Im so glad i found John. He was probably the most popular guy in my wedding. He always has a crazy long line and he drew nonstop for 6hours. He is extremely professional and attentive. im already thinking to hire John again for all of my future events. You wont be disappointed.

John did excellent work. Each rendering was distinctive and reflected the person drawn quite accurately. The kids (13 - 14 years old) were very distracted with other activities at a party. John waited patiently for about 1 and half until they focused on the opportunity to be drawn. When the kids finally came to get their drawings done John worked quickly to accommodate all the demand and managed to get beautiful work done. He also extended the time by 30 minutes to ensure all the kids who were interested in drawings had a chance to be drawn.

Gracious, friendly and professional! John was fantastic! We hired him for an Open Market event and folks were lined up to have him draw them. He worked fast and conversed well with everyone sitting in his chair... and they were so happy with the final results. He even drew babies and pets! We had a special request for all the drawings and he was very accommodating. A true professional and a great artist. I would highly recommend him for any event! You won't be disappointed.

John is a talented artist, a lovely person, and very professional. His interactions with children and adults as he is drawing puts them at ease. He is very relatable to all ages. John was amazing. His caricatures were very realistic and fun and we ended up paying to keep him an extra hour the day of our event. He worked for 4 hours with barely a bathroom break and turned out a remarkable amount of caricature portraits. My guests are still talking about him and his work and I'm already wondering when I can throw another party to have him back!

John certainly made our event fantastic! He was very professional, had a small footprint for his set up, and his drawings were great. He really captures the details about a person's looks but somehow manages to make them all flattering! Plus he has a great sense of humor with his caricature drawings, a lot of folks at our event loved them and were left laughing! He was super easy to work with, very detailed, and arrived on time and stayed late to finish, which was definitely appreciated - since there was a snowstorm the night of our event. Thank you again John, we would recommend you to anyone who wants a unique addition to their event!
