My husband and I were looking for a caricaturist for our wedding reception and after reading many reviews on various caricaturists on gig master we decided to go with Rick Welch. He was absolutely amazing! We hired Rich as entertainment for the children and they loved him... he was very fast and was able to draw and provide each child with a sketch. The other thing we loved about Rich was that he was very responsive via calls, text and emails. In a heartbeat we would hire him for other events and definitely recommend his service to our friends and family. Overall, he is very pleasant to work with and produces great quality portraits. Rick is not only a great talent, he's a pleasure to work with. He snuck in, set up, and started... all before I was aware he had even arrived! We had him drawing fun caricatures at a valentine's day party for all the residents of our condo building. He was such a popular attraction among all the guests that the line built up quickly, but Rick worked tirelessly through the evening with no compromise of quality and variety (yet no one would know it with his laid back, disarming demeanor). The feedback is still coming in on what a great addition to the event he was! Home run!

Everyone loved Rick! All the guests were impressed with his drawings. After Rick left the kids were taking turns drawing pictures of each other so I say he definitely left a positive impression on them. I would hire Rick again and would 100% recommend him to others!

Rick was awesome! Arrived early enough to set up and be ready for the flood of people waiting for him. He was very accommodating to everyone!!! before he left he asked me if there were any others who wanted the picture done, which I thought was very thoughtful and nice, because his time was up. I would recommend him highly to anyone! Rick made my party a HIT!

We had a birthday party for our 3 year old daughter--a pajama pancake party, and Rick was happy to arrive at 7:45 a.m. He even pre-drew the bodies of the kids (in pj's, flipping pancakes) so he could be more efficient during the party. Pre-drawing was his suggestion, and it was a great one! He drew the kids in color, which was a wonderful added element to his art--I highly recommend color. In 90 minutes, he was able to draw 16 toddlers! And the guests were thrilled with their take-home party favor. His overall demeanor was warm, friendly and positive--the kids were very comfortable with him, and he did a fabulous job. Would hire him again in a minute!
