These guys were fantastic! We hired them for a small intimate wedding and they were perfect for the occasion. They played some lovely music (Rob actually suggested/helped us pick the music) as we walked the aisle. Then after our ceremony they moved downstairs for our cocktail hour and played some more lively upbeat music to set the mood/get the festivities going. Overall, we couldn’t recommends them enough for anyone looking for some traditional Irish/folk music for any occasion!!

Beautiful music for our wedding ceremony in Vermont...I highly recommend Blackbird! It was a treat to hear them play as I walked down the aisle, and there's just something special about traditional Irish music that lends well to a wedding celebration!

What a great party-maker! Having Blackbird play an in-home session for a small family birthday party was the highlight of our weekend. Young and old were delighted with the music and impressed with the talents of Bob and Rachel. They easily accommodated the limitations of our venue, rolled with our antics, swapped stories of the Emerald Isle with us, and even orchestrated our 19-person photo session. With their musical integrity and versatility, and their relaxed yet professional approach, I highly recommend Blackbird for any type of event.

Bob from Blackbird was awesome. Very responsive, friendly, and easy to talk to. They played for the cocktail hour after my wedding and we could not have asked for better musicians.Their music was beautiful ! Everyone at our wedding was complimenting how well they played. I would definitely recommend Blackbird to anyone who loves traditional Irish music.

For our family reunion we sought out a Celtic duo as it honors our Grandparents.As an artist who has spent over a decade doing art shows,farmers markets,etc,I am keenly aware of the ups and downs of hiring music.My review here comes from my experience with dozens of musical groups.Blackbird surpassed all of our expectations.They were extremely professional even though we were hosting a backyard event. They were very tuned into the activity, they always seemed to be playing the right song at the right volume.The music was inviting,joyful and exactly what we hoped.The background that they provided set the tone for an amazing event. They are who you would want to hire.

Bob and Rachel did a very nice performance for our group. They did variety of music of Irish and Celtic tunes. They bring numerous musical instrument that makes a very enjoyable laid back evening. I would definetly recommend this duo for a variety of events. Bob is easy to work with and Rachael was very pleasant.
