Leesburg String Quartet String Quartet from Leesburg, VA

We are The Bash's #1-rated quartet in the greater Baltimore/Washington area - rated as such each monthly, now for 141 out of the last 142 months. (We're thinking we must have fallen asleep that one month!) And The Bash recently selected us as the winner, yet again, of their annual "National Award" in their string quartet category. (That now makes 8 years in a row!) Our thanks to one and all for the great reviews! Experience, talent, commitment, the personal touch - from Nancy and David Shavin. Violin/violin duet, violin/viola duet, string trio (violin/viola/cello) or string quartet (two violins/viola/cello) - we bring to each job decades of experience. Classical, light classical, and popular - you name it, we'll get it done. A bit of background: The Leesburg String Quartet has put on the special commemoration concert at Constitution Hall for the DAR Convention, and also several quartet concerts for royalty. We continue to play at many fascinating local venues in Virginia, DC, Maryland and Pennsylvania = weddings, receptions, conventions, birthdays, special events, etc. Also, for several years, we've been giving benefit public chamber music concerts here in Leesburg, donating our services for various charities. Individually, we've literally decades of experience in various orchestras, including in Atlanta, Washington, DC, and New York. We've played at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall and Wolf Trap with many classical stars. And, though this may only impress some of the older set out there (and perhaps scare some of the younger set!), early on we performed with the likes of Vicki Carr, Wayne Newton, Bob Hope and Michael Jackson. Yet, string quartets remain our passion.
