Jacob Johnson, Guitar and LuteClassical Guitarist from The Colony, TX

Jacob Johnson is a DFW based classical guitarist and lutenist with over 25 years of performing experience in a wide variety of venues and disciplines. Mr. Johnson performs regularly in solo recital as well as for corporate events, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, awards presentations, private house concerts, wine tastings, gallery parties, and events of all kinds. Last summer he gave his first solo concert tour, with concerts in Buena Vista and Denver, CO, for the Utah Guitar Society in Salt Lake City, UT, and for the Sacramento Guitar Society in El Dorado Hills, CA before finally arriving at the Lute Society of America WestFest in Victoria, British Columbia. He is a regularly scheduled performer at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center, and the Kimbell Art Museum, and has been featured in local media and on High Plains Public Radio. Mr. Johnson prides himself on his ability to custom tailor the music for each event, rather than taking an "one size fits all" approach. Instead, Mr. Johnson gets to know the unique needs for each client before the event. Then, on the day of the event, he pays close attention to the room and tailors his set list carefully in the moment in order to more perfectly complement any gathering. In most cases, Mr. Johnson can take requests (given at least 30 days notice). Mr. Johnson performs on high quality handmade instruments by J. Perfecto Rubio (San Antonio, TX) and Mel Wong (San Francisco, CA). When amplification is necessary, he brings top of the line equipment to ensure the best possible sound for each venue.
