Wedding CeremonyReviewed on October 26, 2015From Raleigh, NC

Matthew was the easiest vendor I booked on my wedding day. I literally sent him three emails after I booked him months in advance. The first email was to give him a song list for my ceremony, the second email was to ask how to deliver payment and the third email was to send a last-minute request for my ceremony. He accommodated all my requests, showed up on time and played beautifully. He even learned a new song for our ceremony exit and it was flawless. I would highly recommend Matthew if you want beautiful live music and stress-free planning.

Matthew was wonderful; he has a great talent and a very outgoing personality (which makes life for a bride so much easier). He is very professional, and always responded to my emails with record timing. I felt confident in him and the service he was expected to provide on my wedding day; I would hire him a million times over again.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on October 8, 2012From Pinehurst, NC

I asked a musician family member living in another state to recommend a guitarist from Gigmasters for the wedding. He chose Matthew based on many factors, but mostly it was "if he can play that he has to be fantastic" referring to the music in Matt's repertoire. Then I was speaking to a recently married friend and she said, "get Matt Kanon" - this without knowing we had already contacted him. He was prompt, accomodating, and an excellent musician. The songs for the wedding were done beautifully. I was very pleased. So this I say to you if you are looking for a guitarist: Get Matt Kanon!

Matthew was great. He showed up when he said he would, he read the situation of my laid-back party and provided talented ambient guitar that everyone enjoyed. He is definitely a professional. I would hire him again.

A real testament to Matthew's overall presentation was the fact that every couple in the group asked for his card. He was exactly as promised. Nice doing business with you and him....

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 11, 2011From Climax, NC

Matt was there early for the performance and was set-up a full 30 minutes before the ceremony. Our guests were very impressed with the music prior to the ceremony and we were thrilled that he played exactly what we requested for our processional, bridal entry, and recessional. We would highly recommend Matt for any function to add that special touch. Thank you for making our day fantastic!!

Matt was great!!! Both my wife and I and extremely pleased with him. He actually set-up and began playing prior to me being able to get to him for his payment, which was very nice. Everyone complimented the music for the wedding as well. Very highly recommended. Andy Soto

Matt did a great job. We called him 4 weeks before the wedding, asked him to play 5 new songs, and he accomodated every single one and played them perfectly. Great acoustic guitarist.

Matt was fantastic-- through all the little changes and craziness, he just rolled with it. He was so easy to work with. His playing is beautiful, and I don't think we could have chosen anyone better for our ceremony. He definitely helped make it a very wonderful, memorable event.

WeddingReviewed on August 16, 2008From Chapel Hill, NC

Matt was wonderful to work with before the day of my wedding ceremony and the actual day of. Although, I didn't meet him in person until the day of, he was accommodating, flexible, and completely open to suggestion. Furthermore, he brought to life the music I requested with his own musical expertise. His accompaniment was perfect for my wedding day and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone seeking an elegant sound for their special event. Thanks Matt! You were fabulous!

Matthew Kanon really set the mood for my wedding. He did an excellent job. He was professional, calm, and very talented. His music is beautiful and required little or no guidance in terms of picking appropriate music! We loved him and would definitely ask him to play again! :-) Lesley Lovett, Richmond, VA (now Annapolis, MD)

FundraiserReviewed on September 7, 2007From Cary, NC

Matthew arrived on time and was very professional. He came dressed in a tux and was very accomodating to the guests. We had him play classical guitar for a company event and it was perfect background music. He even made sure the volume wasn't too loud (which most musicians don't do). He is kind and talented and I would recommend his services.
