Private PartyReviewed on January 30, 2012From Midland, MI

I live in Rockville MD, but hired Mark through Gigmasters to perform at a private party for my nephew and friends at my brother's home in Midland MI. All reports from my brother, his wife and my nephew are that Mark did a masterful job performing his magic and entertaining the kids and parents with his showmanship and wonderful personality. The kids were fascinated with his magic tricks and balloon sculpting, and each child was made part of the show. They loved it. I wish I could have been there to join in the funwhich was had by all. Thanks Mark, great job.

Private PartyReviewed on December 4, 2023From Detroit, MI

Nice guy but we were very disappointed. We felt he didn't do much at all, and didn't win over the crowd. It's very unfortunate as we are a small company and $400 is a lot for us to pay someone to not do their job.

This is her gig request: “Hi! Our event is all called Crystal Clouds, It's a private, invite only Toy Drive event. The theme is magic/crystal balls, etc. It will be indoors.” There was no toy drive. It was a pot party. I’d have had similar problems at a cigar lounge. I don’t smoke, and am allergic. They turned out the lights, put the music on full blast, and everyone got high, except me. Why wouldn’t she tell me that? What did she expect under those conditions? Please check out my other reviews to see how others have responded to my work.

Corporate FunctionReviewed on December 14, 2023From Livonia, MI

There was too much personal information shared by the performer with the staff that was not relevant to why he was there. The professionalism was not at the standard that we expected.

I’m very sorry and quite confused. Your review was not expressed by anyone I performed for. If you were this upset, why not say something immediately after my performance? I would have instantly refunded your money. My promise for 40 years is if the audience doesn’t like me, then you don’t have to pay me. It’s also odd that I took you three days to write this review. Again. I’m very sorry you were unhappy, as my ratings here reflect way more pleased clients. I wish you well.

School AssemblyReviewed on July 12, 2021From Remus, MI

Mark had some really neat Science tricks to show the kids, the show could have been a bit more engaging but he did do a nice job involving the crowd.

In over 40 years of performing science programs in schools I’ve never gotten grades so low. On that day you wanted me to perform for two solid hours for a group consisting of students from K to 8 grade. In other words, hold the attention of children from 5 to 14 for two hours. No School has ever expected me to teach science to such a wide difference in age. No matter which group I focused on, I lost the other. It simply can’t be done. I did the very best I could under impossible circumstances, probably why you gave me a 5 for professionalism. I’m sorry you weren’t pleased and wish you had indicated this to me on that day as I would have refunded your money.
