Blacktop was phenomenal!!!! They kept everyone on the dance floor for the full 4 hours. Not only are they amazing musicians & vocalists, they are excellent performers. We received a lot of compliments from our guests on how great the band was. We would highly recommend Blacktop and they will be our "go-to" band for our future events.

We couldn't have been more pleased with hiring Blacktop for our reception. They were so easy to work it was one less thing we had to stress about. They did a great job of keeping the crowd interested. It has been a long time since I have been at a wedding where the dance floor was packed all night! Everyone who attended loved the band! HIGHLY Recommend!!!

They are a FANTASTIC Band! I would highly recommend them to anyone! They kept the crowd energized and was very accommodating to our small space we had for them to play on. Worth every penny!

What can I say about this Band. They were amazing!!! From the first meeting they were so accommodating and helpful with the planning process. They nailed our intro music. We had requested songs for the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance and they knocked them out of the park. Every one of the band members was gracious, kind, and energized. They kept the party going all night, and the guests had nothing but great things to say. They would've kept partying til the wee hours of the morning if we let them! If you're in the Des Moines area and looking for a talented group to really set your party apart, give these guys a good look. You won't regret it.

We hired BlackTop for our corporate holiday party. They did a great job! I will hire them again not only for this party but for other private parties as well. They were a lot of fun and sounded great! A lot of compliments from our employees! We loved the male and female singers!

The band was awesome! Non stop complements from everyone there and people around town (even those not invited) are still talking about it. You can't go wrong with this crew! People were up dancing til the very end. They even learned two special songs for us. The two vocalist are the real deal!

We cannot say enough about Blacktop!!! We had them play for our wedding of approximately 250 people and received a ton of compliments about them. They were great to work with, the music was fantastic, and they delivered on every special request we had! David (the contact for the band) was always prompt to respond to all my emails/questions and very polite and professional. He asked if we had any special requests for the first dance or any other bridal party dances and they learned and played the 2 songs I had requested! Thank you Blacktop for help making our wedding day even more awesome!!

Wedding Entertainment - More than 5 Stars! Blacktop did an outstanding job! Very professional and very easy to work with. They learned two songs for us and approaced me about events during the reception that we didn't plan on. I recieved a lot of comments on them throughout the night and am still hearing Excellent comments now! I would definately hire them again for any event! The songs played and professionalism were outstanding. I would give a recommendation to anyone to have Blacktop at their special event. I can't say enough about Blacktop! AWESOME JOB! Music was great & had everyone dancing. David always had great communication & made sure things were inline. The only issue was when they announced the wedding party names, they were all completely wrong. We went over them 3 times before hand to make sure they were correct as we knew they were kind of hard names to pronounce. It didn't ruin anything at all & we just laughed about it. It might make other wedding parties made though :). I would definitely recommend them to friends & family!

Blacktop did a fantastic job at our wedding! We got several compliments and the crowd enjoyed them. Our reception had about 350 people ranging from college age kids and the older generation and they did a great job playing songs that everyone could have fun to. The band catered to all of our needs and family wedding traditions very well. They learned two songs that aren't well known for our first dance and father/daughter dance and did a terrific job! Some of the recording samples on here don't do justice for their live sound which is much better. The only con was announcing was hard to hear, however that could have been due to the room we held the reception in.
