Missed it a bit on the soul and R & B. Allowed people to use the mic which was fantastic for the party mood.

I've never had a negative review like this. Maybe because this was a performance from over 2 years ago and you're confusing us with someone else more recent. We've always taken requests and feature a pretty broad playlist.

We had an outdoors event ( Clambake) and the addition of "Woodie and the Longboards", made for a perfect evening, enjoyed by 215 members and guest. John and his group played to around 115 Elks and I had many good comments that I passed on to the Band...Wonderful group who played great music that had them up dancing and thats hard to do when mostly this group is 60-80 years old. We will be having them back again.

Woodie and the Longboards were outstanding. They're a very talented band, easy to work with and just a great group of guys. I hired them to play at our dance for the Fall Colors Car Show in Bishop CA. and they helped make it the best one ever. I will have them back and would highly recommend them to anyone. Great band for our corporate event (reception for about 600 people). Very talented, professional and courteous - I would not hesitate to hire them again. They did a great job incorporating last-minute presentations, accomodated special requests from the attendees and just were a great group of guys to work with.

It was a pleasure working w/ John Keating throughout the process of booking and preparing for the event date. He was extremely prompt and professional in responding to any questions I had along the way. The band members were ALL very nice and accomadating. They are all phenomenal musicians/performers/singers. GREAT BAND!! They rocked, and rocked, and we all danced and danced. Everyone at the party loved them! They did not hesitate to play longer than we had originally arranged~ and they played song requests as well. Two thumbs up.

Outstanding! On time, professional, and extremely tight band. I had many comments from guests who were raving about them. They engaged the audience and kept it moving, knowing when to change tempo to maximize the entertainment value. They really made the event 1st class.
