I would absolutely recommend DJ King James to anyone who needs a DJ for their event. He listens carefully to what you want, but is a skilled entertainer who can make adjustments on the fly as needed to keep the party running smoothly. He's also reachable, attentive, professional, affordable, timely and just a nice guy to be around.

Dj King James was punctual and setup before the event began
He played all the music on our Playlist, and took music requests. He never let the dance floor get cold, he was always playing music that we could vibe to. The crowd was a mixed crowd of all ages. From 4 to 75 years old, and everyone was dancing. He provided lighting to set the mood for everything. When our guests were speaking, he made sure that the music was turned down and a mic was present for the guest could use

We hired DJ King James for a corporate event and he was amazing! He communicated promptly + thoroughly and the entire process was seamless. Because of the audience, we weren't expecting people to dance; the music was more for background. So, imagine my surprise when volunteers + leadership were both moving to the beat. DJ King James created a diverse playlist that was the perfect backdrop for the event - pop, old school rhythm and blues, Caribbean/reggae, country - and the transitions between songs were flawless. He definitely knows how to read the room and has an innate talent that is rare. You should definitely add him to your preferred vendor list.

DJ King James was great! Even before the wedding he was on top of everything. A few days before the wedding we decided we wanted karaoke at the end of the night (which was hilarious - I recommend that as well) and he was able to accommodate and had every song that was requested. During the wedding he played a great variety to please all of our guests.. from kiddos, to millennials, to grandparents - there was always a group on the dance floor. When the party went longer than expected, he accommodated that as well. He was also very funny which worked really well with our crowd. I highly recommend!
