Wedding CeremonyReviewed on December 27, 2010From Conroe, TX

On our wedding, the DJ was over a hour late and he did not call. I was informed the next day that Dwight had a family emergency so he sent someone else. I had been speaking with Dwight months before the wedding and I had confidence that he would do a great job so when we arrived at the reception and the DJ was not there and had not heard from him........ In Dwight's defense; he did refund the money and send me an apology letter. I think that he would have done a super job if the events did not happen but would I hire him again; I have no idea.

:

I apologize again and I have fired my other DJ. Thanks for the fair review.

Dwight was extremly unprofessional when dealing with issues that arose at our wedding. He my be a fine DJ but for a wedding he is sub-par. We as extremly unprofessional on the Mic and also very rude to us and our MC during the event. I would not recommend him to DJ a wedding in the future.

:

As you can see from my previous reviews this comment is extremely false. I bent over backwards for this couple and they were rude, very pushy, unreasonable, and very unpleasant to work for and with. I created a custom song for the couple for their first dance even though it wasn't discussed in the beginning, at no extra charge. Normally I MC all my events as you can see from previous comments, however they wanted a "Nigerian MC" who happened to be their cousin. He began the reception by telling racial jokes about Caucasian people and other racial groups. Which I was not happy about! The coordinator even said "This couple had problems with several other vendors".

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DJ. started the night with 10 back to back line dancing songs. he didnt even have the first dance song we requested. the dj was given several pages of requested songs that werent played. when asked about it dj said "just let me do what i do". the dj was informed that there was going to be a toast and he would be informed when. dj took it upon himself to announce before Champagne could be passed out. horrible experience all the way around. wouldnt recommend to anyone. AVOID THE OUTFIT!

:

There is no possible way I can play 10 line dance songs back to back(big exaggeration). You the groom chose 7 HOURS of COUNTRY MUSIC of which I played most of it, you and a few family members were the only persons dancing to it. Your guest started complaining about all the country music after hour 5 and requested 3 line dance songs. The cupid shuffle, The wobble, and copper head road. You wanted to control the DJ instead of letting him read the crowd and do his job. When we diverted from the country music the dance floor was packed! Then in the middle of the wobble dance you tell the DJ "change it to country Now" and everyone but you leaves the dance floor. Thanks!

WeddingReviewed on June 4, 2013From Houston, TX

The event was fine. I think we would have benefited from a pre-event phone call. I was told I would be called on the Monday before the Saturday event and was never called. By Thursday evening, I still had not been called and left messages with the phone number I had. Fortunately Gigmasters was able to get ahold of someone. The music and energy level was fine. Some of the announcements could have been better and probably would have been better if we had a pre-event meeting.

Thanks For the review I have disscussed the you review with DJ Fernando and I understand your fustraion with him not calling in a timely manner. As you stated the music and engery level was good meaning that your guest had a good time. I will work with him in regards to customer service. See Below- Please call the client when I send you the info. This is part of offering a great service and what keeps you busy. I asked you to call the client earlier in the week, however you didn't call until Thursday for a Saturday wedding. That is not how I do business. I appreciate you helping and I know you kept them dancing, but customer service is important. Thanks again.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on September 22, 2013From Houston, TX

I hired this Dj for 6 hrs, 6-midnight. The day of my mother's 75th surprise birthday event he shows up 20 minutes before the event to set-up. Before he begins to set-up, he asks how long I needed him for the night. I stated that I hired him for 6 hours, until midnight, and he tells me that he had another gig later that night. I said "you are kidding me right!". I hired this DJ 9 mths in advance with a contract that he quoted me for 6 hours. Approx. 10pm he cuts the music to leave in front of my guests, as he's screaming at me about my nephew who had been trying to get people dancing because his song selections were HORRIBLE! DJ INQUISIT, I will NEVER hire you again!

:

This is the second time she hired me. In her own words the guest had a great time last year. This year the gig was only for 4 hours, however she said it started a 6pm. I arrived and was setup by 6pm only to find out that I didn't start playing until 8pm and it ended at 12am. About 10pm her nephew starts getting on the mic yelling switch the song DJ switch the song. So I cut the mic off. Then he and 2 other guys came up to the DJ area and I advised them to stop screaming on mic and if they had any request I would play them. About 10:15 the nephew comes to me and says you need to switch the song faster and threatens me. After that I packed my stuff and left.
