We are so happy we hired Tom! Tom DJed our wedding and did not disappoint. His music was absolutely incredible and we loved how many live instruments he played. Tom even went above and beyond to learn I Hope You Dance on acoustic so I could walk down the aisle to it. I can’t recommend him enough and if you want a balance between DJ and live band, Tom is your guy!

Tom played live music (guitar, sax, flute) and DJ'd a 60+ person party at our home. He did an amazing job at the event and was excellent to work with leading up to the party. Highly responsive, proactive with questions, and put together a set list that was perfect for the event. I'd work with Tom again and recommend him to others looking for a talented musical entertainer.

Incredible! Tom brought to our wedding everything we asked and more! His live performance was so amazing that we had a guest ask if he was lip syncing. We were able to have live music at our ceremony which we hadn't thought possible. We also had the pleasure of meeting his wife, who was also just as wonderful! Tom far exceeded our expectations and we couldn't happier.

If only you had more than 5 stars I would have used them! For my husbands celebration of life, I couldn't have been more than pleased with all of Toms efforts. A dream to work with, flexible, adaptable and a very caring soul. He played his own instruments, my playlist and songs for the service without a blip. He was early and stayed late so that he could provide the best possible experience. This was also done outside in extreme heat! Thank you Tom, is not adequate enough!! OO

Tom did a fantastic job at our wedding. Everything appeared effortless for him. His combination of live performance and DJ was worth far more than the price we paid. We could not have been more pleased with his attention to detail and communication during both the planning stages and the actual wedding. Our guests could not stop talking about how good he was. AWESOME! From our first communications to the very end of the event, Tom was accommodating, professional and attentive to all of our needs. Both the bride's and groom's family have musical backgrounds, (some Berkeley trained, like Tom himself), and EVERYONE was overwhelmed by his musical talents, instrumental and vocal! Tom offers a unique mix of live music as well as the DJ/dance experience. He was able to read the likes of the crowd and keep all guests entertained and engaged. All this, comes at a very reasonable price! Tom Bruhl is a truly exceptional entertainer!

Book Tom Bruhl!!!!! He was incredible. Tom played and sung accoustic guitar for our ceremony, played a jazz medley for our cocktail hour, and lit up the dance floor as a DJ during our reception. I cannot count the number of compliments we received about his work and ability to pack the dance floor. Tom’s professionalism and responsiveness made the whole process easy. My husband and I were blown away by Tom's amazing performance at our wedding/reception! We didn't meet Tom until the day of our wedding, however our guests had no idea because Tom really paid attention to all the details during our email correspondence and met all our expectations. He played the guitar and sang during our wedding, and DJ-ed/played various instruments during the reception. At one point during brunch, he even walked around playing the saxophone (which our guests loved!). Overall I would HIGHLY recommend Tom to anyone looking for unique and high quality wedding entertainment.

After reading all the positive reviews online, we had a really high expectation for Tom, and he was actually BETTER!! We had some concerns at first, because we were on a tight schedule and we were unable to meet with him beforehand. We also had an all-Chinese-guest wedding in which we spoke only Chinese during the reception, and our friends are mostly too shy to dance formally after our first dances--but he nailed it and made it perfect for us by emceeing it in our way and providing the guests the exact music they needed. He was the soul-behind-the-scene for our reception and I really couldn't image how my reception would run without him. Thank you so much Tom!!

Tom Bruhl is amazing! He is an extremely talented musician who brings a host of musical skills to the event! He played many instruments extremely well (saxophone, guitar and flute) in addition to pitch perfect singing and of course DJ'ing. He was the consummate professional! He was very accommodating and honored all my requests for special songs and various artists. My husband, who is also a sax player, loved him as did all the guests, and they kept asking me where I found him. He appealed to all age ranges, and he was equally comfortable playing the classics as well as top 40s. I look forward to hiring him again for another event that I will have in the future!

My husband and I were so unbelievably pleased with Tom's performance throughout the night. He sang our procession songs (Jack Johnson) flawlessly and impressed EVERYONE with his sax and guitar skills. He played every song that we put onto our playlist and was so charismatic behind the microphone. I could not have imagined a better night or a better DJ/singer. I would recommended Tom a million times over. He was absolutely amazing. (And my Dad liked him...which says a lot!!!)

We hired Tom for our wedding in September 2013, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Our friends and family are still talking about how entertaining he was. We are of age where many of our friends are getting married, and all of them are asking for Tom's information. His unique mix of DJing and playing/singing brought a special element to our wedding.
We can not thank Tom enough for being so easy to work with and his impressive set of skills. We are still talking about how he played sax while weaving in and out of the guest tables (I have a few photos to send him). If you have a chance to hire Tom, do not hesitate. He is awesome!

If I could give Tom more than 5 stars I would, especially in the area of talent. At one point during our reception he was wandering among the tables playing the tenor saxophone while his DJ equipment played the background beat. It was incredible to see and all of our guests were blown away. Tom is an amazing DJ and an incredible performer.
The music selection was inspired, both for during the reception while we were eating, and once everyone was ready to start dancing. Everyone had a wonderful and could not stop talking about how wonderful a DJ & musician Tom was.
Definitely book Tom for an amazing time at your event!

Tom truly is a one man band, and a true talent, a rare gem in the wedding DJ business. He will learn songs for you, plays several instruments during cocktail hour and dinner, and will pick the perfect late night sing-a-long that will bring down the house. As the wedding was drawing to a close the last thing we heard from our guest was them chanting, "ONE MORE SONG, ONE MORE SONG..." We are still hearing from our guests, and heard several times during the wedding, how incredible Tom was as a musician and a DJ. My husband and I booked Tom for our Newport wedding based solely on his Gigmaster reviews and his videos. Our family and friends thought we were crazy that we booked him without ever seeing him play live, but he exceeded any and all expectations we could have ever imagined for our wedding entertainment. He is beyond talented having played at our ceremony, during cocktail hour and during our reception. Our guests started dancing before the appetizers were served and NEVER sat down! We were married over a month ago and our guests are still telling us that it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding and I can wholeheartedly say that Tom Bruhl was the differnce!
