Eric was exactly what our party needed. We held our 40th Corporate celebration and had Eric provide some evening entertainment. Great sense of humor, his performance was very appropriate for the event, and he was very accommodating when the dining portion took a little longer than planned. The gusts could not say enough positive things about him and we plan to have him at future events. Eric was very easy to work with at booking as he took the time to really get to know what was wanted instead of up-selling to what I didn't need. Wonderful experience.

This was a Christmas banquet held at a country club, for about fifty employees of a large auto repair business. Super nice people and very smart! I did my Parlor Magic show after dinner, once coffee and dessert was on the tables, and there was a tremendous amount of audience interaction.
This is my favorite type of show and they audience was very gracious. I also want to give a shout out to the staff at the Piney Branch Gold Club in Upperco, Maryland, who provided a platform for me and a wonderful dinner for all.

Eric was spectacular! We have a small party of six adults, and Eric was able to amaze all of us. We especially liked how he wove the history of magic into his presentation.
Eric was very professional in the "business" aspects, and was very responsive to any questions I had in advance of the party. He even sent us a link to Waze, the traffic app, that would show us his progress as he drove to arrive at the party.

Eric was great. He was very flexible. We didn't know exactly what to expect from the location and the flow of the party. Originally we planned to have Eric do street-type magic, but at some point we switched to stand-up, which was extremely successful. It was wonderful that Eric could change his tact on the fly and accommodate the needs of the party and of the audience. As far as his actual talent, it was magical, pun intended! Truly, his show was very interesting and everybody had a blast.

That was amazing! Eric took what would have just been another typical weekend campout for our Scouts and turned it into one they will remember forever. His magic captured the imagination of our Scouts and our parents. It was non-stop fun and entertainment that left us wanting more. Eric understood the audience and his magic and jokes were appropriate for everyone. Highly recommend. He will exceed your expectations.

Eric performed at a dinner for our military reunion of about 250 people and was entertaining and professional. He showed up early and came fully equipped to operate from the hotel ballroom we had rented. He interacted well with audience "volunteers" and made them feel comfortable on stage while engaging in a friendly and humorous banter. He was not the lowest bid we received, but he was well worth the money.

Eric Henning was AMAZING!!! He was friendly, funny and engaging throughout his whole performance. Eric got audience members of all ages involved in the show. Please excuse me for the delay in getting back to you with this but my internet connection wasn't working for several days. Anyway, I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Eric! He is a terrific guy and a true class act! My birthday party would NOT have been the same without him and it was well worth the money to have him there and at that, I felt his price was extremely reasonable and fair. All of my friends are still talking about him and everyone totally loved it! I liked the way he wandered around before dinner and went from table to table doing little "one-on-one" types of tricks with people and everyone seemed to think that was a nice touch. He was funny and entertaining and obviously, highly skilled. A big special thank you to Eric for making my birthday a truly wonderful event that I shall always treasure! I highly recommend him to everyone!

I arranged a holiday dinner for senior executives at an international consulting firm... about 10 executives and their spouses. I was a bit worried because this was a small group of highly intelligent, very skeptical folks. Eric Henning knocked it out of the park. They were all flabbergasted by the magic and laughing at the patter. Almost to a person, they came up to me afterword to gush about the performance. If I could give 6 stars I would. "That was amazing!"

This was a very small corporate holiday party, perhaps a dozen people, in a private dining room at Co Co. Sala in Washington, DC. These very sophisticated, high-level executives and partners with Booz Allen Hamilton really enjoyed my Parlor Show and participated enthusiastically. I knew they'd be a fun group when they sang Christmas carols with gusto! This was a great experience and a perfect match of the right show for the group.

Fabulous! I can not praise Mr. Henning enough. His magic engaged both the children and the adults. The adults went out of their way to let us know they thought Mr. Henning was incredible. To solidify the spirt of Halloween Mr. Henning made a ghost appear this delighted and mystified everyone. My husband stated that in the future we should use him again. I admit Mr. Henning is a little more expensive then some other magicians on Gig Master- but given his performance and all the positive guest feedback - he was worth every penny and made our Halloween party a success!

Thanks, Julie! This was a Parlor Show for about 30 staff members of a veterinary hospital in Westminster, MD. The performance took place in the reception area, which required some last-minute adjustments, and all went well. The staff responded enthusiastically and we had a blast. Eric, is not only an exceptional magician and wit, he is a dedicated entertainer and a really nice guy. Our party was somewhat scattered with friends talking, etc., and Eric never showed annoyance but carried on with ultimate professionalism. He was a wonderful addition to the party. Pplease don't hesitate in booking him for your affair!
He worked with me right from the start modifying start times, planning participation with the guest of honor, providing a useful introduction, making the whole relationship simple while providing first rate entertainment.

Eric came to our New Years party and didn't disappoint. He roamed around performing for our staff, who all loved his up-close magic. Many staff commented on not only was he a good magician, but they really loved his personality and showmanship. He's really funny! I'd recommend him to anyone, and we would definitely hire him again.

Thanks, Robby! This was Robby's girlfriend's birthday party, at their home. Their friends are mostly in the 25-35 age range - young professionals, newlyweds and engaged couples. They are bright, educated, confident and adventurous - an ideal audience for Close-up Magic. In every room I entered, people crowded around to see the magic, got their friends involved, and the word spread quickly. I ended up staying longer than planned because latecomers heard about it and wanted to see the magic, too. Thanks goodness we got an extra hour of sleep that night!

Thanks, Ellen! This was a party for the staff of a franchise group of 5 Gold's Gyms in the Baltimore/DC area. We had mostly younger people, very active and enthusiastic. My job was to do Magic Up Closeâ„¢ while folks enjoyed the buffet. I also MC'd and created magical a moment for each door prize.
I was incredibly impressed by this group, who clearly like each other, value each other's talents, and share a strong sense of mission. They care deeply about their members becoming healthy, and as a result, they attract a large and loyal client base. It was truly inspiring to see this business vision, and I felt like I took a great gift home with me. Merry Christmas!

Thanks, Judy! This was a daytime show for a law firm that planned fun activities for National Administrative Professionals Week. At 3:00 pm each day, they had a break with entertainment and snacks, and the staff really enjoyed it. The staff were in a fun mood and the informal setting allowed for lots of audience interaction and banter during the show. I had a blast! This type of in-house activity is a great idea for staff appreciation events and much more cost-effective than lunch (and drinks) at a restaurant.

Thanks, Cynthia! This was a Halloween party for a Senior Center and it was a blast! The crowd was great and very enthusiastic, and I cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They are absolutely tops! The care they take with their seniors and the way they took care of me made everything delightfully easy and fun.
I grew up near a nursing home and spent many a summer polishing my act by doing weekly shows there. The staff and residents loved the visits, and I got to sharpen my skills. Today, I have decades of experience working for seniors and understand their special needs.

Thanks, Yong! This was a very special gig. Yong planned to propose to his girlfriend, and wanted me to do some close-up magic and then magically produce the engagement ring. We planned it very quickly, and the whole thing went off perfectly. Sherry was stunned when the ring appeared in her own hand, and thrilled to say yes (after nearly fainting)! They have asked me to perform at their wedding reception, and I can't wait! It is always a privilege to be involved in special moments, and something I take very seriously. What a fun way to cap off the year!

Eric performed for a church event which included about 40 kids and 70 adults who found the show to be delightful. His act included a great assortment of magic tricks mixed with humor. I was especially impressed by how his routine engaged audience members of all ages.
All in all, he did a great job. We definitely would recommend him to any friends looking for a crowd-pleasing show.

Thanks Anna! Anna's mother was celebrating a birthday ending in "0" and graciously turned it into a church fund raiser. The community is very warm and welcoming, and made me feel right at home. The children ranged from toddlers to teens and they, along with the adults, enjoyed the stage show. The stage version of my "That Was Amazing!" show is designed for an "all ages" family audience and this one included a special piece featuring the "birthday girl." Stage or platform magic shows for church, temple, school and Scout groups are great fun and can be an effective fund raiser - ask me!

I'd never booked any type of entertainment before and wasn't familiar with gig masters other than a google search. However, the process was painless and simple. Mr. Henning was great at both communicating via e-mail and telephone in the days approaching and day of our party. The day of our party Mr. Henning's arrival, set-up, and show was a seamless transition and stress free (for both me--the party planner, and my husband). Entertaining 2 dozen 5-7 year olds and their parents--with material that appealed to the kids and puns geared towards adults--yet appropriate for little ears, is no easy feat. I highly recommend Mr. Henning.

Bonnie and I coordinated by phone and email to create the best party flow, and everything went smoothly. Eric is an incredible magician. He kept 24 kids age 5-6 years old completely engaged the entire performance as well as the parents and siblings. The show was a great mix of magic tricks and comedy. I would highly recommend Eric for a children's party.
