Jan's Marching Band has been playing for parades in Worcester County since approx 2000 and we have decided to branch out to other communities. We play mostly patriotic tunes as we are mostly hired for Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, etc, but we also have holiday selections for a Christmas Parade, Irish Songs for St. Patrick's Day, Itialian Songs for an Italian Festival Parade and Children's Tunes for a festive parade. Whereas Jan's Marching Band is, as the name implies, a marching band, we also have other bands available that play on a truck for a parade. These are “Black Sheep Jazz Band” (Dixieland), “Schwarze Schafe” (German Band), Louie Lewis and the Klezmerbops” (Klezmer Band), “It's Polka Time” (Polka Band), “Lou and Jan” (Children's Music) and “Lou Borelli Octet” (Jazz). We also offer a big band (seventeen musicians). We don't fit on a truck, but we could play before or after a parade to complete the celebration!

Memorial Day Party•Reviewed on June 1, 2022•From Hubbardston, MA

They did show up and did stay for our Memorial Day Services. However, they did not coordinate effectively with our Senior Singers as I asked them to do. Therefore, the singers were not able to sing the five military service theme songs in conjunction with the band playing them. When we announced the Army Anthem, they played the Navy Anthem. This was a very special ceremony for us as we were dedicating our Vietnam Veterans Monument. We had 64 Vietnam era Army Veterans names on this Memorial so I was disappointed. Our Master of Ceremonies asked them to play the Army anthem after all the others and, at that point, they did. I would not choose to hire them again.

Jan's Marching Band:

My band leader went over the service medley with the singers as far as the order of the tunes and they keys they were in , I was surprised that the singers did not sing, as we had planned. Also, Bill Shea signed a contract assuring me we we get oaid on May 30, 2022. If that were not the case, I don't think he should have not signed the contract.
