Sam did a great job at our daughter’s Sweet Sixteen party! Great mix of music, talent, and dynamic. He kept a lot of teenagers on the floor dancing, they were having so much fun, they didn’t even want to eat.

Sam did an exceptional job DJ-ing the engagement party for my son and his fiance! We had developed a play list and had asked him to mix up the genres and alternate between fast/slow dances. He did a great job. Did exactly what we had requested. He is also extremely professional, dressed very professionally, accommodated our situation with some weather issues - was on time - did his job, all with grace and respect. We will absolutely reach out to Sam again and will refer him to our colleagues and friends when they are looking for a DJ for one of their events. Top notch. Professional. Pleasant. Very talented. Sam is the ultimate professional. We hired him to play music for our elementary school Benefit dinner for parents. He read the room beautifully, playing upbeat jazz during the cocktail hour and dinner, then got the party started afterwards for dancing. When we ended there were many people dancing! He had great communication throughout the process and some of our guests asked him for his contact info during our event- the ultimate complement. I really liked how he moved seamlessly between music genres, never getting stuck in one just for the popular songs from that period. I would definitely hire again. His prices were very reasonable too!

Simply put he is an awesome DJ. You will not go wrong if you hire him, so do it! Sam handled my daughter's sweet 16 party and it was so much fun. He really interacted with the crowd, he plays all the music to get everyone on the floor dancing and having a good time. I have absolutely no regrets and I'm so glad that I hired him for my event and I will hire him whenever I have any future events as well. He was so professional. He communicated every step of the way prior to the event. And he showed up on time as promised ahead of time to set up prior to the start of the event. Thank you Sam for everything! You are extremely talented!

BLK played played the songs we requested in advance of the wedding; however, we were not too enthused about the flow of the music. We had hoped that the songs would ‘bled/flow’ into the next. The flow of the music did not encourage many to dance,including me. UPDATE:After speaking with some of the guest and family I was told the DJ did not arrive on time per the contract. Moreover, I requested for "background" music to start playing at 4:30pm while people waited for the start of the wedding. Knowing all of this, I could only cry because I put a lot of energy into have the perfectly imperfect wedding. Do not blame him in whole, because most goes to the planner, but

I wish I would give DJ BLK Soldier higher than 5 stars! Sam was absolutely incredible and he really rocked our wedding reception this past June!! Catering to the entire crowd, Sam played music from various decades and genres, and also played all the songs we originally requested that were extremely special to my husband and me. He came thoroughly prepared and very punctual. Professional and fun, Sam handled the evening with such ease that we did not have to worry about a single thing. You want the best DJ in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs?.....choose DJ BLK Soldier and you will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Sam!! :)
