Unfortunately, this client changed the time of his event to an hour later and never informed me of such. I will let my past client feedback as well as the fact that this type of situation has never occured in my 21 year professional history support my case.
I arrived to the location of his event with plenty of time to set up and the hostess at the restaurant was the first to inform me of the fact that the time had been changed to an hour later. I had the contract with the client's signature stating the actual time that had been agreed upon by us both. When I called to inform him of this, his response was simply that he had emailed me numerous times explaining that

David was really a pleasure to deal with for our wedding. The wedding was at a location with very stringent rules for amplified music (Descanso Gardens) and he took charge in dealing with the managers at the site, to make sure we had no surprises on the day of the event. He was also very helpful in providing guidance on which music would sound the best for both the ceremony and reception, considering the instruments we had chosen.
His performance was perfect during both the ceremony and the reception! He played during our ceremony with a flute player and added a percussionist and upright bass player during the reception. We had tons of compliments on the music!

If you're looking for the best, look no further. David played at our party last Saturday, June 30th, and working with him was a really positive experience from beginning to end. He was prompt in answering all of the questions I had before the event, and was very accommodating to our musical requests. We used David for our June 23, 2007 wedding for the ceremony and cocktail hour and he was PERFECT! I was initially nervous to use someone we found online. After speaking with David I felt much better. He was very professional from day one and willing to meet me before hand if I desired (which we did not do; wasn't necessary). He sent me numerous samples of his music accompanied by a variety of possible musicians to accompany him (e.g., flute, bass, etc.). He was most patient with any questions and when I changed my mind more than once (as a bride may do). I requested a specific song (the IZ version of Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World) and it came out better than I could have imagined. I did not have to worry about anything and I told him just to do his thing at the cocktail hour and he and the bass player were great! I highly recommend him for your wedding, or any other affair. I cannot even begin to explain how awesome David and the saxophonist were to work with. They were everything I could have possibly wanted and more and very easy to contact and work with. Not only myself and my husband, everyone I talked to was very impressed with the solo saxophonist. We even had passersby stop to take pictures and video. It was incredible. David was my contact and was also incredible to work with. When I read the other testimonials prior to booking, I thought "I'm sure he is fine." If there was any way to convey how great it was as well as my gratitude for having the opportunity to work with both of them, they would be the words I would choose!!!
