Steven learned 5 Spanish Guitar melodies for our daughter’s wedding within a 2 week notice. His pleasant performance personalized cocktail hour, soothed our senses, and enhanced the anticipation of the remaining celebration.
Steven stayed until the newlyweds arrived from their photo session and played one of the requested melodies for them. His thoughtfulness made my daughter very happy in that she was able to enjoy at least one Spanish guitar melody. A relative who is a music teacher and plays many instruments remarked that Steven’s performance was great! Thank you, Steven!!
We would definitely hire Steven again.

From the beginning, Steve was always very responsive to my e-mails (which is very important to a stressed out bride in the midst of wedding planning!), and he was quick to offer suggestions when I wasn't sure which direction to take my ceremony music. He provided a helpful document that got me thinking on which songs I may want to use. As for the day of the wedding, I can say that Steve did a FANTASTIC job playing the processionals and recessionals during the ceremony, and he kept our guests thoroughly entertained at the cocktail hour. He was great to work with, and I would definitely recommend adding Steve to your wedding dream team!

Steve is a vert talented, young guitarist with a great personality! He interacted with our audience, took requests & played a wide variety of songs. Steve added the perfect special touch to a wonderful day. He blended traditional and more modern tunes seamlessly and even easily adjusted when we had to make a last minute change. He was able to offer suggestions when we were overwhelmed and unsure of what songs to pick for each different ceremony portion (song for the parents entrance, the bridesmaids entrance, etc.) He was thorough, friendly, and professional always. Steve was the big surprise in our wedding ceremony. He made us cry while he performed the songs we selected (The way we were and The wind beneath my wings). He added some beautiful pieces during the ceremony as we requested. My guests enjoyed a lot and still are talking about our ceremony. Our wedding was at the Water's Edge Resort in Westbrook, CT and Steve made it unforgettable to our guest and to the hotel crew. Can't wait to our first year anniversary Steve!!!

We had a small indoor wedding and hired Steven Rutledge to play during the ceremony. His playing was beautifully intricate and set the tone perfectly. His repertoire was quite varied; he is able to play traditional music as well as many classic Beatles songs and other classic rock favorites. My father was quite impressed to hear some of his favorite songs played.
Steven is also very accomodating, providing you with assistance to choose what would work best, yet allowing you the freedom to set things up in your own way. I would definitely recommend Steven to anyone looking to hire a guitarist.

Steve did a wonderful job for our wedding ceremony. He had a lengthy song list for us to choose from and even learned a song that we requested. The music sounded beautiful and was the perfect volume to compliment the ceremony, but not overpower it. There was some correspondence prior to regarding our song preferences and his requirements, but on the day of Steve was self-guided. I would recommend him to anyone.

I've been receiving comments since the wedding about how beautiful our ceremony was. When I snuck in the back door of the chapel on Sunday, I was greeted to the beautiful strumming of Darlin' by the Beatles. During the bridal party processional, Steven's playing of Wonderful Tonight brought tears to my eyes, the tempo was just perfect.
Steven, I didn't get a chance to so much as say hello on Sunday, and I'm so sorry for that! Reports back from the best man were that you were very easy to work with. We all appreciate your presence on Sunday. Every song played was exactly as we had hoped and imagined.

I can't say enough good things about Steven. He was very professional and accommodating. My wife and I wanted a mix of song selections that included traditional standards as well as not-so-traditional. A tricky request ... but Steven delivered without hesitation! We had our Ave Maria AND our Nirvana (or I should say MY Nirvana). I've never heard All Apologies played at a wedding, but after Steven's rendition it should be standard fair. I would recommend Steven to anyone.
