Classical, Brazilian, and Spanish Guitar Enhance your event with elegant guitar music performed on a nylon-string classical guitar and tailored to the atmosphere of your setting, whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a large reception. My repertoire includes classical guitar favorites, Brazilian choro and bossa nova, and Spanish and Latin American music. I also perform jazz standards and popular songs arranged for solo guitar and I provide professional sound equipment adaptable to a wide range of indoor and outdoor settings. I perform regularly throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as both a solo guitarist and ensemble musician. In addition to my solo performances, I regularly perform with the Brazilian groups Sinergia and the Educarte Samba Band. I hold a Master of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the New England Conservatory and a Ph.D. in Musicology from The Catholic University of America, with a specialization in Latin American music. Before coming to the D.C. area I lived in New England, where I was a member of the Brazilian group Choro Democrático and the New World Guitar Trio with whom I recorded the CD Exiled and toured throughout Brazil, Taiwan, and the United States.
