Tom Rohde, Classical, Brazilian And Spanish Guitar Classical Guitarist from Silver Spring, MD

I am a guitarist that specializes in Classical, Brazilian, and Spanish guitar music and I play on a nylon-stringed, classical guitar. I earned a master's degree in classical guitar performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA and a bachelor's in music from Ithaca College. I recently completed a Ph.D. in musicology at Catholic University in Washington D.C. with a focus on Latin American music. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and I frequently perform in the Washington D.C. area with the Brazilian group Sinergia. While living in Boston, I was a member of the the Brazilian group Choro Democratico and the New World Guitar Trio, with whom I recorded the CD Exiled and toured throughout Brazil, Taiwan, and the United States. I have performed at many concert halls, jazz clubs, theaters, hotels, restaurants, and at weddings and private parties throughout New England and the Washington D.C. area.
