From the very beginning Mary King was very sweet and I knew I had made the right choice. Her willingness to get to know more about my mom whose party is was for, our culture and our song requests was refreshing. The day of the event, she arrived early as we were setting up and we hit it off immediately, by the time guests arrived, Mary had become part of our family. When my mom arrived to her surprise birthday party, the harp was clearly her favorite part of the celebration, especially when Mary let my mom play the harp and gave her a mini lesson. She also played the fiddle during the birthday song. Mary was very professional, sweet and I would book her again.

We hired Mary for harp music during our wedding ceremony. Mary was very thorough during all of our consultations leading up to the big day, had a great variety of tunes to choose from, and made excellent suggestions. Mary (fiddle/harp) played along with Torrin (Irish bagpipes) and Kevin (guitar/fiddle). Music was played for the entire 2+ hours. The greatest compliment came from my wife. The occasion was her surprise birthday party. She walked into another room and thought the music playing was a recording. All three played magnificently. Our guests were not only delighted but enthralled. Would recommend highly without any reservation.

The Irish Coastal Club of Westerly RI has hired Mary on many occasions. We have had her for our Christmas parties and for main events open to the public that are held at the Westerly Public Library, Westerly RI. Mary draws a good sized crowd. Mary is always prepared, on time and professional. She is a versatile performer having entertained us with her harp, fiddle, singing and jokes. She has a great rapport with all ages in the audience.

I was so lucky to find Mary King as our harpist for our 9-15-18 wedding. She is a WONDERFUL choice for anyone looking for the beautiful sounds of a harp. We were so grateful to have her play beautifully before and during our ceremony. Mary is very prompt when contacting her, I never had to wait for a response, she makes it about you and whatever journey you are about to take. Mary King is a stellar harpist, and an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive and attentive throughout the planning phase (we engaged her to play the ceremony music at our New Year's Eve wedding), and she even agreed to learn a special song at my request for my bridal processional. This was a pleasant surprise given that Mary's standard catalog of songs already boasts a great many options. Mary is professional, considerate, and above all, an outstanding harpist (she played the violin at our event as well - an added bonus). I would highly recommend Mary to anyone looking to incorporate harp music into your special event, wedding or otherwise. A+

We hired Mary to provide background music to our annual holiday open house. Our goal is to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere for our employees. The music Mary provided was the perfect addition to our event.
After arriving early to set up so she could be playing as people arrived, Mary played the entire time she was here without a break. We found Mary to be very perceptive and talented, most importantly to us very friendly and easy to talk to.
We hope to have her come back soon to play for us at other events.

I discovered Mary from searching on GigMasters almost 2 years ago. She played for a specialty yoga workshop called Harp for the Heart on Valentine's Day. I immediately connected to her personality, gifts of music and ability to relate to my customers. I had her participate this October for Harp for the Harvest yoga and meditation. It was so beautiful! Once again, my customers absolutely loved her and the experience. I am excited to create another opportunity to work with her again. I am very confident she has the ability to acclimate to any environment - weddings, engagement celebrations, brunches, any social event and of course Yoga!

Mary was great! In this current environment where dancing is not allowed she provided a nice mix of classic and contemporary pieces that created the perfect background for our (small wedding) event. She took requests and spoke with guests who wanted to know more about her instrument. Several guests reported that they enjoyed speaking with her. Mary’s harp offers a nice alternative. Highly recommended!
