Praised as "a solid musician with a beautiful sound and impressively refined playing" (Bart van Oort- chairman, Dutch International Harp Contest 2012), Ruth is an exceptional performer with years of experience providing beautiful music for a variety of events ranging from solo recitals and recording sessions to weddings and private parties. Her playing has taken her all over the world from touring Japan with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, to performing as a soloist with the National Orchestra of Peru. She has performed in some of the finest hotels in New York including afternoon tea at the St.Regis, Ritz-Carlton, and special events at the Plaza Hotel and the Rainbow Room at NBC Studios. A versatile performer, she also appeared in Broadway hits such as "Beauty and the Beast", "The Producers" and "The Fantasticks". Performing across the United States, Mexico, Asia and Europe she has shared the stage with artists such as Placido Domingo, Reneé Fleming, Elton John, Sarah Brightman, Armando Manzanero and Duncan Sheik to name a few. She holds advanced performance degrees from Manhattan School of Music and Eastman School of Music and has been a top prize winner in international and national competitions. Most recently (2018), Ruth has been a trialist for principal harp with City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in England. Ruth is passionate about what she does and takes great pride in tailoring each event to her clients taste, whether it be helping to choose the music, making her own arrangements, or getting into costume (!).
