We couldn't have wished for a better group of gifted musicians. They play very, very well, were professional, well dressed and perfect for our private party in New York. Our venue had strict requirements and the Gil Schwartz Jazz Group accommodated those easily. Gil and his band were a pleasure to meet, everyone enjoyed their music and how well they interacted with us, our guests, and the staff at our event. They arranged a perfect playlist, including selections we requested ahead of time. We can't recommend them enough. Gil made the booking process smooth and easy, especially since we live outside of the US. He was quick to respond and is very well-organized.

We hired the Gil Schwartz Jazz Group for a student-run swing dancing event and were very pleased with their work. They were incredibly talented, great to work with, and played all the appropriate swing dancing classics etc. It was a very successful evening, largely thanks to Gil! On FIRST meeting it was like hanging out with friends i had known forever. TALENT, Personality and CHARM. Kindred spirits of fun and love of people. Their set was spectacular. We had Gil and his band play for a jazz themed campus event, and they were great! They sound amazing, and have a great energy. During the event, I talked with several attendees and they all mentioned how good the band was, too.
Also, during the whole process of hiring until the day of the event we were in constant communication, they responded to us fast and answered all our questions, etc.
Overall, it was great working with them and we had a successful event where people really enjoyed themselves, so thank you guys so much! We definitely recommend. :)

It's unfortunate that you had a bad experience, but this happened because you did not do what we agreed upon. You knew we had to make a gig after your gig and that time was an issue, but you changed the time last minute asking us to come 3 hours later than agreed. I called you and explained that our bassist was already on the highway driving to the gig, the saxophonist was already on his way as well and that we have no choice but to cancel and keep the deposit to pay the bassist and saxophonist for their time.
The drama was from you, and the gratuity added was absolutely fair, we came and did a great job despite how difficult it was to work with you.
