We hired Mama Train for our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party and they did an outstanding job! They were great about learning special song requests, which meant a lot to our family, and we received many compliments from guests about the band. Philip and Sumitra were a pleasure to work with and their band is truly talented– we are so grateful they were a part of this special day.

We booked Mama Train for a surprise 60th birthday party. They reached out multiple times prior to the event to ensure logistics and to make sure all our needs were being met. The bad was great at the event and very focused on our needs. Their talent and professionalism were both impressive and they would be a great addition to any event.

We discovered Mama Train at a winery one day and thought they would be a perfect addition for our wedding and they were!! It was such a special touch to have them perform for our cocktail hour, everyone enjoyed the music choices, voice, piano and stand up bass! Sumitra and Philip are exceptionally nice and accommodating! We would recommend their services for anything from backyard gathering to wedding events to bars/restaurants! I did my research and watched as many videos of Mama Train as I could, that said, the real test is seeing them in person… Which I hadn’t done before booking them. I was absolutely blown away by how good they were! My husband does music for film and television and is very familiar with the music industry. He was so impressed by this band! They were tight, creative, and oh so professional. The second my wedding was over. All I could do was think about how I could hire them again for something else! I went straight to their website and looked up where their local gigs would be so that I could see them again.HIRE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!

Mama Train came into the station on time, on point, and delivered a fantastic evening for our party. Their set list was exactly what we were looking for; the volume was dialed in beautifully throughout the night for different transitions, and they made it really special. All of the guests thought they were terrific, and the GM of our venue wants to have them available to recommend to future guests when considering a live band. Incredibly talented band! Worked with us regarding all of the weird stuff we asked them to do per a mystery masquerade ball (playing immediately after the end of an acting performance, stopping when fog comes out, etc.) and they were incredibly kind despite it all! They dressed the part and blew us away with how incredible their sound is overall. I have already recommended them to others, people asked me where I found them... I highly recommend working with Mama Train if you have the opportunity. You won't be disappointed!

Mama Train is professional, talented, and delightful. Their rendition of At Last and The First Time was hauntingly beautiful. I wanted a violinist for my wedding ceremony and although not part of their jazz trio they found one for me and he was awesome. I can't recommend them enough. You will not regret hiring them for your special event.

We hired Mama Train Band for our Essex Riverboat Dinner Cruise company outing on July 15, 2022. Mama Train Band’s sound was in perfect harmony with the evening setting on the river. We hired the full band, all of whom are very talented musicians who perform with such joy! Classic, vintage jazz tunes were performed with rich vocals and amazing instrumentation, and provided pure enjoyment for all of our guests. Philip and Sumitra were incredibly responsive to our initial booking inquiry and were consistently responsive, professional, accommodating and kind throughout the entire event planning process. This 5 star review is easy to write. Of all the vendors in our wedding, Sumitra and Philip were the most pleasant and responsive. They asked thoughtful questions, were forthcoming with concerns and accomodated specially requested contemporary numbers. They even offered a preview listening of the song for our first dance. Didn't miss any detail and worked smoothly through logistics, even after traveling from 2 hours away. No divas, just class-act talent! We hired Mama Train to play at our "Renewal of Vows' ceremony. They were absolutely fantastic. They were very accommodating when I asked if they could learn how to play a song that my husband and I liked and were just a delight to deal with.
The manager of the Inn where we had our event was so impressed with them that she put them on their recommended wedding band list.
They're extremely professional, very talented and just lovely people.

Mama Train were amazing. Very professional and extremely nice. Showed up early to prep and be ready to perform on time, and sounded beautiful when I heard them. Unfortunately due to getting ready for the ceremony and dealing with a last minute emergency, I didn't get to watch/listen to them perform as much as I wanted to, but the guests raved about them, which did not surprise me. I would recommend Mama Train to anybody looking for live music in a heart beat, and will look for a reason to hired them again in the future in a less busy event so I can just sit and enjoy them perform more. If they aren't too busy on world tours and at award shows. THANKS MAMA TRAIN!
