I can not speak highly enough about Mike and the band. From the moment we engaged with them him, and the musicians he works with, were consummate professionals. Communication was clear, the musicality was perfect, and we didn't have to worry about a single thing during the event. Mike's group read the room, provided the perfect jazz ambience and I would hire them again in an instant if we make a trip back to Chicago.

Birthday Party (Adult)•Reviewed on October 5, 2025•From Oswego, IL

I hired them for my Dad's 90th birthday party at a memory care facility. I definitely hired the right group. They could not be more accommodating to a special group of people. They made my dad feel so special. They played polka music and even learned special songs requested. I would hire them again without question. Thank you for providing a great experience.

Mike and his team were a pleasure to work with. We hired a two person band to perform polka music and even though it was just two they brought a couple instruments that they switched in and out and even sang! We worked with Ed and Jim and they were the sweetest gentlemen. Highly recommend.

Community Event•Reviewed on June 22, 2025•From Barrington, IL

Mike and his band provided excellent Dixieland jazz for our 100th anniversary! This was a large public event with over 1,000 attendees of all ages, and Mike and the band kept everyone smiling and in a great mood. The players were on time, appropriately dressed, and very professional. We've had them before and we will definitely hire them again, thank you, Mike!

Oktoberfest Party•Reviewed on October 20, 2024•From Chicago, IL

Mike Knauf Music provided the Musikmeisters for our Oktoberfest. Mike was so easy to work with. He was great with communication, always available to answer any questions I had about our event. The four band members were wonderful, and not only played fun music, but got the crowd involved in the songs. They even brought bells and a long Alpine horn!! Our guests raved about the entertainment, and if we have another Oktoberfest, we will definitely be using Mike Knauf Music!!

Oktoberfest Party•Reviewed on October 7, 2024•From Roscoe, IL

Mike Knauf's band performed at our Fall Market this past September and they met all the special requests that we asked for, including dressing in lederhosen. The band sounded very authentic and pulled our entire event together. I would recommend his services for future events!

Celebration•Reviewed on June 17, 2025•From Chesterton, IN

We hired the band for their Dixieland music. At the reception, guests requested some polkas and other music, as well as specific Dixieland songs. We were pleasantly surprised that they were able to play all requests. Our guests had a great time. For the grand finale, the band played "When the Saints Go Marching In," leaving the stage area and leading everyone around the hall, New Orleans Mardi Gras style. Fun times!

Graduation Party•Reviewed on June 10, 2024•From Arlington Heights, IL

Our experience with Mike and his quartet was nothing short of exceptional. Mike was incredibly professional and accommodating leading up to our party, and he followed all of our special requests. Additionally, they were all phenomenal musicians. Each member was extremely talented, and I say that as someone who listens to jazz almost every day! We will absolutely work with Mike again if we need live entertainment at another event.

Saint Patrick's Day Party•Reviewed on March 11, 2025•From Woodstock, IL

There was great communication prior to the event, and set-up was done in advance with great efficiency. The musicians were quite talented and delightfully entertaining. Many individuals who attended the evening's festivities commented on how much they enjoyed the music, especially the sing-a-longs. The Nippersink Rogues were the perfect fit for our St. Patrick celebration. I hope we can arrange to have them back again next year.

We had Mike and the Musikmeisters out for a school Oktoberfest. Mike's Knauf Music was incredibly entertaining and easy to work with! They played a wide selection of traditional Bavarian music using a variety of instruments and kept the audience fully engaged throughout the event. We would recommend them for any fundraiser or school function!
