Peter & the Master Keys is NYC's favorite seven-piece jazz and blues band for weddings and events! Specializing in American jazz and blues from the 30's through 50's (with a dash of rock n' roll thrown into the mix), Peter & the Master Keys is the perfect blend of cool sophistication and rootsy soul. Our music pays homage to an earlier era of live music when real musicians played real instruments. With three horns (trumpet, tenor sax, baritone sax) and a robust rhythm section (keys, guitar, upright bass, drums), you might even call us a “small” big band!

Whether you need music for a mellow cocktail hour or a high-energy dance party—or maybe even both—Peter & the Master Keys fits the bill. Throughout New York City and beyond, we've played countless weddings, events, private parties, and concerts at venues ranging from the prestigious Yale Club and Sotheby's in Manhattan to rural barns in upstate New York. The Master Keys have had the privilege of working with many great clients over the past few years including: Columbia University, the Yale Club, Sotheby's, Etsy, Tao, as well as countless brides and grooms. We love to elevate events as only live music can whether it be for ambience or for dancing.

***The Master Keys can provide emcee duties and you are welcome to use our sound system for speeches and toasts. 
***Sound and lighting can be included.
***We are also happy to provide proof of insurance to meet your venue's requirements.

 Peter and his team of incredible musicians set the tone/foundation for our evening. In addition to being an accomplished musician and crooner, Peter is also a pleasure to work with – he was always timely and responsive to us and worked with us on what we should play for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He is open to suggestions – his team played a rocking Hora to incorporate my Jewish heritage and was enthusiastic in speaking with my fiancé about songs he really wanted to hear on our special day.  When Peter and team were playing their final set, they brought the house down - the saxophonist, even slid across the floor to play in front of my husband!

Peter and the Master Keys were FANTASTIC! Everyone raved about the music! They were very professional, and the volume was perfect for people to talk and be entertain and as the party got moving the brought the party to life!

Peter and the Master Keys were absolutely amazing. They have been a delight in ensuring our requests were accommodated to the best of their incredible abilities. My wedding consists of a decent mixture of younger and older generations. Everyone thought the band was great and have consistently asked me where I found such a solid band. They helped make our wedding’s overall vibe beautiful, elegant and memorable. There has not been one complaint. Peter himself has been on top of everything for us, going above and beyond to meet our requests. They were punctual and wary of our tight timetable.
