Our experience with Beth and Alex was great. My members loved the selection of music both for DJ and Karaoke. The props available for use during karaoke did not go to waste. I believe that the availability of the props encouraged more participation due to the novelty of the idea. We would certainly be interested in hiring Krazzzy Karaoke again.

Beth was very nice and she was on time to set up. She had trouble with her equipment in the beginning, but got it up and running in a reasonable amount of time. I expected more interaction from her to motivate the crowd to dance, but Most people enjoyed talking more than dancing so I guess it didn't matter much. The karayoke was a lot of fun.

I'm not unhappy about this rating. It was a difficult show. We didn't mind doing it, but we had to put together a large 4 piece stage b/4 we could begin our set up, which cut into my prep time. I had trouble with one speaker, which made me start 10 mins late. The requested playlist didn't work, so I encouraged requests. 1/2 wanted hip hop,the other wanted old school & NEITHER wanted to hear the other's music. I did my best to make them happy. Most were eating & playing dominoes. Karaoke was a big hit. All in all, they were very nice & we had fun. I wish I could've made the client a little happier. I don't like to dissappoint, even a little bit.

We had a fun time with Krazzzy Karaoke (Beth Cates). We booked her for an afternoon picnic-type corporate event. She was very accomodating to our requests and needs (very easy to work with & organized). She had a great selection of Karaoke songs from which to choose, GREAT props, and an adequate # of booklets for our guests to look through. The set up was good. Also, she did a nice job encouraging people to come up front and sing. As a DJ, however, her transition between songs was not quite what we have experienced in the past (several moments of silence between song selections)...an area that will likely improve with time. Additional note: Make sure to allow plenty of time for set up at your event (recommend set up and ready to go 30 min prior to start of event if music is to be playing as guests enter.) Also, if corporate event, suggest stressing professional dress. Ours this time, however, was indeed casual.

The moments of silence referred to were two fold - transitioning from karaoke to DJ and back again (waiting for singer to take the stage and song to load) and trying to accomodate extreme last minute requests from several different people that seemed to be in charge. Normally, when a request is made it won't be played immediately because it takes time to locate the song (whether karaoke or DJ selection). Shows that contain karaoke mixed in here and there throughout should expect some slight delays. From the beginning quote to the end of our wedding, Beth was very nice and accomidating of us. She quickly found the songs we requested, was prompt in arriving, setting up, and beginning the music, and was overall very sweet.
She was even not phased by a few minor time snags and poorly planned grand march. Excellent service and weonderful people.

My daughter had a wonderful "Sweet 16" and part of it is thanks to Beth. She was very accommodating to all of our guests (and patient). Her list of available songs was perfect for what my daughter wanted. She was very professional, helpful, and prompt during her set up. I enthusiastically recommend Krazzzy Karaoke & DJ!

She took the time to explain the order of events to us and was very flexible in anything we needed during the reception, whether it be song choice, order of reception events, or how announcements were made. She should have used the song list I gave to her instead of playing songs I didn't ask for and she should have played more requested songs.
Song she played were not bad but were not what we had discussed for the previous 6 months.

I apologize for the misunderstanding & wasn't aware the list was a 'strickly play' list but that of songs/artists she preferred. No mention was made verbally or written. I was unable to play the majority of the slow due to guests wanting faster dance songs. Slow are usually played during dinner, but a band had been hired to play first which limited my time & efforts. As for requests, I played everyone I received, except one I didn't have. I played a good amount of what was listed & more would have been played if more time for dancing been allotted. That evening she stated we were "fantastic" & I know her guests had a great time too. Again, my apologies.

Beth was very nice and great to work with. She went out of her way to meet with us and make sure that she had the right music for our wedding. She was easy to get a hold of even late at night! She was flexible and helped us to improvise at a minute's notice and was not pushy or intrusive as I have heard some DJs are. There were a few tiny errors that may have been avoided if she had had digital equipment but nothing that really had mattered enough for guests to notice. I would recommend her for any event!

It was terrible, nothing was done professionally. The customer is suppose to be the first concern. For this supposedly mother and son duo I was absoulutely not. She blame it on me, not giving enough time and the fact that she had a job. She walked away while I was speaking to her. Talked about me to my family and friends behide my back, practically slam my arm in her car, push me (in my 7 months pregnant belly) and so on and so. I was trying to disregard this by simply speaking and she threaten to call the police. Beside all of that music was played too low and her CD's were scratched. I don't see how see received best ratings to begin with. I wouldn't recommend her.

Nor would I recommend her.Never encountered such a selfcentered,lying snake.She requested a 2 pg songlist 24 hrs b4 her event.I explained I would do my best,but no promises.I was unable to get 1 song.She had a fit.Stated I should have called her.It w/just a dance tune.She made a fool out of herself.Her hubby & friend apologized for her, which made her fume.I never touched her.She was the one threatening.I DID have to call police & almost pressed charges b/c she wouldn't let us leave after the event.She INSISTED on arguing 3 diff times.I refused b/c she wouldn't come to reason.It's sad.I feel sorry for her.Her guests were having a great time.She ruined her own party.

Beth was nice and got in contact with me prior to the event and kept us on track. I had several guest come to me throughout the night that commented on how rude she was when they requested something. Her system was not every loud, the mic was not good and it was hard to hear toasts and announcements. We had to request music to be turned up. She did not play some very specific songs which has been requested and outlined in our contract. We are Aggies and really wanted the Aggie War Hymen played. I would not recommend these dj services and consider the music to be the only disappointment of this wonderful event.

This client has forgotten that she told me everything was perfect several times throughout event, which started 1.5 hrs late, making us cram 4 hrs of activities & music into 2.5 hrs. There were many factors that contributed to my scoring their service the way I did. I was a little upset at the fact that the DJ was smoking cigarettes at the event. Yes, the event was outside but that was uncalled for. Secondly, I did not think she looked very professional. There were also times where she played inappropritate music which I stated should not be played but she still did. The only thing that I felt she had going for her was a competive price. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them to anyone in the future.

This comes as a shock. Ms. Denton was completely happy with us on the day of the event and thanked us several times for assisting. Apparently, she was a lot upset about me having a cigarate, instead of a little, and for that I apologize. Maybe that is what motivated this. As for looking unprofessional, we were attired for the event the same as everyone else, in casual jeans. It was unbelievably hot, humid and we were literally working in the mud. I expected a DJ as well as a karaoke person. The song selection wasn't good and when asked to change the songs, she informed me that what she was playing was what I had on the contract. I put particular song styles on the contract thinking that was what I needed to put for karaoke selections. When asked to raise the music, she did, but then turned it down again. She didn't know how to mix the music when we just wanted music playing to liven up the party.
One of her microphone's was running out of battery life and I was surprised she didn't have back up batteries.

This was a last minute hire with little prep time. I apologized for the song style mix up, but that was what I was instructed to play & it was corrected immediately. I am not a club DJ & don't have mixing capabilities. Pleasing everyone at this function was impossilbe because different people kept giving instructions & requests & one didn't like what the other wanted to hear. Other mics were available, but they didn't want them because they were corded. Music had to be turned up & down because they were contantly trying to talk over it on the mic. Did my best under the circumstances. Most had a great time & 6 people asked for business cards for future parties. ?????
