WeddingReviewed on October 22, 2012From Siler City, NC

This band was amazing! They were very easy to work with, their timeliness was wonderful...and their musical quality was exceptional. They handled requests easily, and the rest of the time they seemed to know what to play and when to play it. We had 4 generations of family at the wedding/reception...and everyone has commented how much they loved the band. I would hire them again in an instant, and want to find public venues where I can go hear them again. My wife and I have nothing but praise for these guys!!! We thank them for making a special day even more so...

These guys did a great job at our Open House. I wish there had been a larger audience. 60 of the pre-registered attendees were a no show but these guys were awesome. I would book them for another gig in a heartbeat!

Fantastic. Dixie Broadway traveled about 4 hrs to play our outdoor country wedding. They're a bluegrass band, but they played classical music for our ceremony. Their rendition of Pachelbel's Canon was beautiful. They also played two requests that were more rock genre than folk music, one by Tom Petty, and one by The Killers. They both sounded great. They were all very nice guys, and we couldn't have been happier. We highly recommend them!

PicnicReviewed on April 25, 2008From Hot Springs, VA

Dixie Broadway performed for our group of about 150 at an pavilon at the Homestead in Hot Springs, VA. The music chosen was great and performed well. The musicians interacted well with our group, performed requests, and in general handled themselves with propriety. They enhanced our evening.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on September 29, 2007From Lexington, NC

Excellent!!! We could not have had a better a better experience. Always courteous and professional. Prompt replies to all emails. Arrived at prearranged time and started performance at agreed time. Music was great. The program was entertaining and the music could not have better. Dixie Broadway and guests were fanistic. The band was the "surprise" part for my husband's 70th Birthday Party. I don't think I could have given another gift that he would have enjoyed more. I recommend this group to everyone in search of a Bluegrass Band. Thanks

FestivalReviewed on September 15, 2007From Badin, NC

Dixie Broadway was my favorite band of the whole festival. They played some old and some new songs. I loved they're sound and they're friendly attitude on stage. My daughter danced through the whole thing. They are the perfect band for any event. I would recommend them to anyone and I hope that they will consider coming back next year for the festival.

Hubert Whitlock Builders was celebrating our company's 50th anniversary and my father, the founder's, 88th birthday with a barbecue and about 200 guests including our staff and associates and their families. The weather was perfect and all was a great success. Dixie Broadway was the perfect fit and helped to make it special. Everyone loved the music including my father. I for one loved it when the band stepped up and started playing when I had to change a projector bulb that burned out just as I started a slide show commemoration. All three were very talented and the playlist and their sound was a good mix.

Private PartyReviewed on November 10, 2007From Kernersville, NC

As a band they are wonderful. It was very cold and though they wanted to stop an hour earlier then scheduled time due to the cold. Per my request they movd forward to make our event special. The talent abilities are remarkable. I have several people that would like to book them for their parties and church functions. We appreciate all that they have done. What I thought was just going to be a simple "Chicken Stew" turned out to be a Engagement party. I am so glad that they were a part of it.

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on November 4, 2014From Blacksburg, VA

We had a topnotch bluegrass band entertain us for my son's recent wedding. We found them by Gigmasters suggestion. The band is Goodfellers when the full group of 5 plays. We hired all of them because our location was outside with no electricity. They were fine with that situation. We hired them for 4 hours. They played in chilly damp weather with no repeated songs. Their vocals were clear and strong, their instruments well tuned. I'd like to include extra friendliness as a 5 star also. My family is full of professinal musicians and they were all very impressed. Thank you Goodfellers for your incredible show at our son's wedding

WeddingReviewed on August 25, 2014From Maggie Valley, NC

We paid 1680 for 2 and ½ hours of music. We got about 1 and 1/2 half instead. The band was supposed to play 30 minutes before the wedding and 30 minutes after the wedding, we were to take a break for photos and dinner (food provided to the band) and then they were supposed to play an hour set plugged in at our rented pavilion. After photos, I was approached that the band was upset because they didn't want to wait till after dinner to play the final set (and that would somehow put them into overtime). Seeing I needed to focus on the wedding, we compromised and asked them to play during dinner so they wouldn't have to wait. They played 30 minutes and left.

:

We honored the contract that was signed by the client from 3:00 to 5:30 we stayed an 1 hour over what was agreed on. There was not any times set for the band to play.. We cannot agree on playing 2.5 hours and be there 4.0 hrs waiting..

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on October 21, 2019From New Bern, NC

They were absolutely amazing. We had our wedding on a piece of family land that was rather large and had multiple areas to mingle. They moved wherever the party was. They took special request, kept everyone entertained, and kept the party going. They exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend them!!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on July 7, 2015From Chautauqua, NY

The "Goodfellars" were fantastic. I had several people at the reception come up to me and rave about their performance. They fit perfectly for they type of wedding we were hosting, which was a backyard lake wedding in Chautauqua, New York. I was happy that they were so accommodating with venturing all the way from North Carolina. I only wish that I could have heard more of them as we were busy getting pictures between rain storms outside of the tent.
