If I could go higher than a 5 on talent I would! The band was ammmmmmmmazing, great job feeling the crowd and getting everyone involved and really becoming the rhythm of the party. I hired Mike and the band for a raggae 30th bday party and these guys were outstanding; they mixed it up here and there with non raggae beats which truly impressed me because their talents much reach much further than what I had requested but these guys were awesome, showed up extra early to setup and make sure everything was perfect, which I have never experienced before (usually DJs show up max 30 mins early) and my only regret is I booked a 3 hour gig, should have done 5! Thx Guys!

Easy to deal with. Mike was prompt and returned all calls. Music was very enjoyable and the music was top-notch. I received many complements and would certainly use them again. Talented and a joy to work with.

AMAZING! They played at our wedding and the dance floor was on fire for every song! This band has so much talent, it is ridiculous! Word of advice: Only book these guys if you want a good time! They are well worth it!

Mike Dangeroux and his band were AMAZING! They truly made the wedding so much by getting people out into the dance floor. I had people coming up to me all night saying that the band was AWESOME and had REAL talent. I couldn't agree more! My husband and I were so thrilled that we went with them. I would absolutely tell anyone getting married in Chicago that they MUST use Mike D and his band to play at their wedding!

The group's performance was unbelievable. I was really impressed and the guests LOVED them. Mike was not there due to a family emergency which I understand. Everything turned out great, I just wish he had contacted me and informed me that everything was taken care of but he was not going to be there. Instead, I called him a couple of times and he never answered or got back to me. I also had originally requested that they come with 3-4 people max and there was 5 of them. Luckily it worked but we were limited on space. Lastly, they just took a break and didn't play any music in the meantime. Once I asked them it was taken care of but just a note for future.

I hadn't seen Mike live- only watched on their site and youtube, so I was confident they would be great, but still a bit nervous sight unseen.
We were so pleasantly surprised with the night. Mike and the band were fantastic, kept folks dancing all night (even during breaks!). Couldn't have done any better. And Dora was amazing! They were great during scheduling and planning, and adapted to our warehouse-type venue.
I highly recommend Mike for any event and would absolutely use them again in the future.

Mike Dangeroux was amazing! The band is so talented, they have such a great range of songs, and everyone at our wedding did not stop complementing them all night! After driving all the way to Michigan for the gig, they were willing to let us use their equipment during dinner, make announcements as we needed, and they even let a few guests accompany them! I will always cherish my memory of drumming to Sweet Home Chicago with such a talented band. They did a great job of getting all the guests - spanning three generations - into the music. Everyone was dancing and singing and having a wonderful time. I would not hesitate to recommend them! True professionals.

Overall, we were quite pleased. Mike Dangeroux was extremely accommodating of our specific requests (e.g., musical selections, both live and recorded [i.e., songs that were played during dinner]), and responded to email and phone calls in a timely and professional manner. The venue where we had the reception was quite challenging, space-wise and acoustic-wise, yet Mike and his band were more than up to the challenge. They are terrific entertainers, and displayed a musical repertoire that had something for everyone. We also commisioned a quartet from the band to play a the wedding ceremony. Our choice was baroque music, but that is not the forte of the band.

Great communication from start to finish (above and beyond expectation). Mike played our marina party with his reggae band "the tropics" it was a sunrise party and they were good sports and showed up on time (7a.m.) and were very professional and fun. They really had the talent and look of a great reggae band. They really worked the crowd with fun sing along songs. They had a great mix of music and played all our requests. Highly recommend Mike and the tropics. I know they will be back to the Chain O' lakes very soon to entertain us again!

I'm pretty sure Mike Dangeroux and his band made our wedding reception! For months after and even still now, we get told that our reception was the best and most fun our guests have ever attended. It is in no doubt in part because of the talent and entertainment delivered from the stage. Dora's voice is amazing and Mike's talent on the guitar is thrilling. The dance floor was packed all night and elder guests who normally would have left earlier were found hanging around the edge of tent watching the entertainment with smiles on their faces. There is just something about live music from a band like this; it grabs you and makes you FEEL the celebration.

There are two types of performers. Those who play music, and those who know how to play for a party and entertain. Mike is the second type, not only did he and his band know a variety of songs and play some great hits, they knew how to work with audience members and put on a great show.
Will book him and his team again for future concerts, and would give a very strong recommendation for anyone looking for a star performer for their show.

I am from South Florida and hired Mike over the internet for my mother's surprise birthday party in Chicago. I was concerned about hiring a band "sight unseen" so to speak but had no other options. Mike was always prompt in answering emails, called and confirmed a few days before the party. Needless to say, Mike Dangeroux and his band were GREAT! Everyone loved them and a number of people were asking me for their contact information. They seemed to gauge the energy of the party to find just the right songs to play to "get the party started." The only setback is that it all seemed to end too soon. In the future, I will have to hire them for 6 instead of 3 hours.

Mike got the party started! My friends and family were on the dancefloor from the minute they swallowed their last bite of cake until the reception ended (including some family who I did not think would even get on the dancefloor!). As many others have commented, Mike is extremely responsive by phone and email, and he had great suggestions for me when I was unsure of some decisions for the timeline of the evening. The whole band was very talented and maintained high energy throughout their performance. I would definitely recommend them!

Mike Dangeroux was great! Everyone enjoyed the band, we had guests grabbing the microphone and signing so they were very accomodating and we were so happy we picked them. His response to our emails and calls was very prompt and helpful in planning our event. I would definitely recommend them!
