An outstanding band. Whoz Playing made all of our guests so happy - they played the best dance songs for all ages to enjoy. Bob was so helpful and accommodating, especially with the special songs we requested. We had such a great time and we will definitely recommend Whoz Playing in the future. Thanks guys!

Whoz Playing? played at our wedding at the American Club in Kohler, WI on 5/28. We were more than pleased with both the musical talent and professionalism of the band. Bob made it easy to figure out a plan for the evening in advance, without even having to meet. Only issue we had was that our iPod (used during setbreaks) was not hooked up well with their equipment. It was difficult to hear... Outside of that, we thoroughly enjoyed the band's playing. Would definitely recommend.

Thanks. It was a great wedding dance and our pleasure to play for you. On the Ipod issue, the songs on the Ipod were not equalized. In other words, one was recorded on your Ipod very loud and we would have to turn it down, the next song was recorded on your Ipod very soft and would have to be turned up, therefore, it was difficult to control the volume from song to song. We tried to adjust as best as possible during the two breaks. But this is good feedback to know for the future. Thanks again. Whoz Playing?

FundraiserReviewed on March 1, 2011From Rothschild, WI

I originally hired Whoz Playing for a wedding. As an event planner and coordinator it’s important that I know who the best vendors are and who I would never recommend. I have now hired Whoz Playing for a wedding, a corporate event and most recently a Habitat for Humanity fund-raiser in the form of a Mardi Gras event. The band has always returned every call or email that I’ve sent. They arrive early enough to set up and do sound checks long before guests arrive. They have guests dancing that would normally sit and watch others on the floor. Never out of key, always in tune, pleasant to work with and one of the best dance bands I’ve ever known.

We were so impressed with Whoz Playing? They played for our son's wedding in Dubuque, IA. This band is very professional and awesome to boot! They even learned a song for the bridal dance the bride and groom requested. I had many conversations with Bob the band manager and he was always helpful, and responded to my emails and phone calls in a very timely manner. As an event planner this band is a dream to work with. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the event. We have received numnerous compliments about the entire evening, but especially the band! We know that entertainment can make the event and Whoz Playing sure did that for us! Great Job!

Great experience from start to finish. The band leader was highly responsive via e-mail during the five months before the event. The group accommodated several special requests, and learned at least two specific songs we requested that were not on their play list. The group even allowed (and coordinated in advance) the participation of another musician who was not part of the band. People were on the dance floor the entire time and are still talking about it. The playing, singing, musicianship, and overall professionalism were all outstanding. They were a pleasure to deal with and we really couldn't be happier. Would certainly recommend Whoz Playing? to anyone

I'm happy to offer a RAVE review for Whoz Playing! I felt like I took a risk in booking a band w/out hearing them first, but I checked their references and listened to their demo online and took a chance! I talked more with Bob than any other vendor in preparation for the wedding. Everyone is still talking about my GREAT wedding band. I had to dance on the carpet for the final song cause the dance floor was still packed! They played a dedication to my grandparents and even let me get on stage and sing! "Whoz Playing" is a great band and I am 150% satisfied with the experience I had in working with such professional and talented musicians!

As an event planner it’s my job to provide the best talent available for my client. I was fortunate enough to locate Whoz Playing on the Gigmaster site. They were in contact with me for a year and a half before they played at the wedding reception last weekend. They came early to set up, and although room for three band members was made available by the restaurant instead of space for five, Whoz Playing were flexible and made it work. Everyone within earshot of the band raved about how good they were. I would/will definitely hire them again for future events! They were professional in appearance and preparedness and knew how to keep people on the dance floor.

My family loved this band!! We had a great experience with them for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. They were very accomodating and even personalized some of the songs for my parents. I would hire them again no questions asked.

This band was amazing!! The comments we heard the most after our wedding were "wow, great band!" We had read how they kept the dance floor busy all night, but we had no idea it would be like this. We had everyone, from 1 to over 70 on the dance floor throughout the night. The kids had a blast with the chicken dance and the older family members absolutely loved the rest of the music. We cannot say enough how much we recommend this band. They were super flexible, accommodating, and even did some encores when we weren't ready for the night to end. They've been doing this for 30 years - they certainly know what they're doing.

Whoz playing did a fabulous job at our wedding. They went out of their way to make sure our guests had a wonderful time. They were very interactive with the bride and the groom as well as our guests. They were willing to accomodate all our needs and play the songs that we had suggested. They gave great suggestions of songs for the "father-daughter" and "mother-son" dances. I also was encouraged how easy they were to get a hold of and discuss the details of our wedding with. They were punctual, informative, and I would highly recommend them for any event!

WeddingReviewed on April 6, 2009From Eau Claire, WI

Everything was wonderful. Bob was very professional and easy to work with. The band had no problem learning new songs for our special dances and the mix of music played was great. We also had the band break down to a jazz trio and play during our cocktail hour. Whoz Playin is a great value for everything you get. Everybody told us how great of a time they had dancing and listening to the music!

The band was great. They let me join in playing guitar all night and they kept people dancing. Our wedding was a success. They accomodated any request and seemed to really enjoy entertaining our guests.

It was actually my High School band teacher who led me to Whoz Playing. There was no question about hiring them. Email and phone contact was very timely and reliable. We planned our Wisconsin wedding from California, so this contact was very important. Beyond their extreme flexibility, is of course, pure talent. We had two special request songs which Whoz Playing pulled off without a hitch. Of all the crazy elements in planning a wedding, it was a relief to have these guys make the music part so easy. The event would not have been the same without out them! Thanks so much for the memories you helped provide! -Patrick & Beth Higgins

I want to thank Whoz Playing for making our wedding so special. They were so easy to work with. From the beginning they were great communicators. They kept in touch throughout the whole process. I was stressed out with last minute wedding details and they were so professional - they have done this for so long that they waited until I was able to get the last minute details to them and were even able to accommodate a last minute song request! I can't even begin to tell you how flawless the evening went and the caliber of the show and their talent. And how many requests we got to give their info to friends! Thank you again. Highly recommended. Willing to be a reference

I can not say enough good things about Whoz Playing. They are an awesome band! They were very accomodating to what we wanted for our party, trying to please us in every way. They are great musicians and we had such good comments about them from our crowd. They rate a 5 star status from me. Thanks again to the guys of Whoz Playing!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on June 29, 2010From Madison, WI

The band played both as a jazz trio during our wedding reception cocktail hour and as our wedding oldies band all night long. They're wonderfully versatile, and we're still receiving compliments. The dance floor was full the entire night. The band even stopped in at our venue on multiple occasions prior to our date in order to ensure everything would be good to go the night of the event. They learned songs, took requests and were extremely pleasant to work with. If we had it to do all over, I'd hire them again and again...perhaps for our anniversary party!

ConventionReviewed on May 31, 2008From Madison, WI

They were great guys and easy to work with. Their music was good and exactly what they offered. My slightly lower ratings were not due to them, but the feedback I got from the younger students at my meeting. They were disappointed that the songs did not continue up through the 80s and 90s until now. So anyone working with Whoz Playing has to appreciate that this is traditional and historical rock and roll rather than contemporary. The young folks were asking questions like "what the steps". Not appreciating that there was a period of time when folks specifically wanted music that broke away from specific forms. Whoz Playing is perfect for a history of R&R
