Troy was wonderful! He invested alot of his own time helping me plan the reception. He was very thoughtful throughout the entire process, always making sure to ask if I was okay with when things were happening, etc. We really appreciated everything that he did and our guests had nothing but good things to say about him.

Both Troy Coghill of Blue Light Entertainment and Billy Thomas of(the Elvis entertainer were very perfessional. The Elvis Impersonator, was excellent. He was the hit of the dance-and he worked the crowd-pleasing all who attended. While the DJ was only a part of the evening, his equipment and demeaner was very good-Troy said that if we wanted him to play certain songs to send him a playlist- We Did, but Troy played a number of songs we did not ask for. That was our only complaint, that Mr. Coghill did not follow our playlist. Overall, the Entainer a 5 and the DJ a 4.

I want to thank Troy for doing a great job this past weekend. We used him both on Friday and Saturday evenings for our Optimist convention. He did a wonderful job accomodating the variety of age appropiate music requests, as well as doing a great job improvising with our activities each night and keeping up with my demanding requests. I know that alot of people asked him for his card, etc. I look forward to having him work with us in the future.
Use Troy Coghill with Bluelight Entertainment, you will not be sorry!

Bluelight entertainment was very easy to work with. They accommodated every request willingly and quickly. The only issue that I had was that we didn't have any time to meet with the DJ before hand and there were some issues with name pronunciation.
Music selection was good.

Although i had a wonderful time, i felt that Troy had trouble reading the crowd. He played "dancing" music while guests were trying to enjoy food and cake. When the crowd was ready to dance, he followed a fun song with 3 slow songs. I felt that he was accommodating when it came to requests, and he did pull some songs up that he did not have, and that was very kind. However, I think allowing the crowd to enjoy their meals and conversation was very important, and maybe the fun songs should have waited until after the cake was cut. Troy was very kind and had a wonderful personality, and did help us have a wonderful wedding. I do wish he played a few extra songs that i had mentioned, and read the crowd a little better. However, i appreciate his services.

I would recommend not to play any additional songs straight from the laptop, rather to burn on a cd.

First of all...I shouldn't even be evaluating Blue Light Entertainment since they didn't even deem it necessary to attend my party. They instead sub'd it out to a different DJ without even asking first after I gave them a deposit. They assured me that this DJ was someone they worked frequently with and I would be just as pleased. The DJ that showed up was Carolina DJ and I would never hire him for anything again. There has to be some degree of professionalism and I'm sorry but the DJ smelled so BAD when he showed up that everyone was commenting on it. That was NOT professional. As a DJ he did ok but I would never hire Bluelight or Carolina again.

Troy did a tremendous job at our holiday ball. Everyone enjoyed themselves. He was very prompt and ensured everything was setup prior to start up. We also utilized his assistance for a holiday song and his wireless microphone prior to the start of his evening of music. He had all the latest songs and all the songs that were requested prior to the date of the ball. I would highly recommend him to other and if we are to have any additional balls. He would be the first on my list. Job well done.

Troy was fantastic at our corporate event. I asked him to play a fun mix of clean music and we had to include a bunch of announcements in between that included raffle and award winners. Troy rocked it! Everyone loved the music choices and he breezed through all the announcements. Will definitely hire him for all our events in the future! One less thing to worry about regarding events :)
