Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on January 11, 2011From Williamsport, PA

Everyone loved them. I wanted an irish band so I didn't appreciate Johnny Cash and Beatles songs, but everyone loved them and they were great musicians. I would hire them again for a special event.

Bill was fine. It was hard to get the sound just right because it was a very small room. But, by the end of the night, people were all singing along to Irish songs. Fine job!

WeddingReviewed on October 7, 2006From New York City, NY

The band seemed "lost" and said they where "filling in" for the "DUO". One of the band members, was late and came in as the wedding ceremony was beginning. Not what I expected.

:

Because of a family emergency, I (Dennis – fiddle player) had to travel out of town unexpectedly the evening before the client's wedding. Luckily, I was able to secure one of the very top Irish fiddle players in New York City to fill in for me. The other two musicians were NOT “fill-ins” but in fact are regular group members. I had left detailed instructions with the musicians, including a short list of items to discuss with the priest regarding cues (when to start and end the processional, when to start the prayer music, etc...). According to my bandmembers, he was not helpful in answering their questions, and clear cues were not given, so there was some hesita

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on October 11, 2015From Kunkletown, PA

They are absolutely fantastic performers and very talented. I rated them a little lower because I seemed to have difficulty getting email responses. They were late by an hour disn't offer to reduce their rate.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on July 18, 2015From Yorktown Heights, NY

I was very pleased with the band. They new their material well and were quite talented. They all showed up on time, and were very conscientious about keeping their levels a little lower so the old folks at the party could hear each other. All in All, a job well done. I highly recommend this group.

Club EventReviewed on December 23, 2014From Darien, CT

Bill Bell played solo (not as a duo). He is very, vary talented and the guests in the Pub enjoyed his performance very much. We're looking forward to having him back again soon.

Blake was a very good musician. Bell didn't make it. The substitute was also marvelous. Everyone loved them.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on August 6, 2014From Flourtown, PA

We were so disappointed by this duo! Late, moody, didn't adapt when we asked to 'pick it up a bit' and play more 'lively' songs. Left as soon as they could (may even have been early - not sure). Major dud.

:

We are quite surprised at this review. This was a last minute booking. The client had no specific requests just asked us to play a variety which we did. The client also told us there was a bridge out on the normal route to her house but didn't offer us any directions so we lost a good bit of time being rerouted by our GPS which turned out to be unnecessary since the normal route was in fact fine. When we arrived the client had no working power outlets in the area they wished for us to perform and offered no help in finding a power outlet. The client made no indication that she was unhappy with anything. We were given many positive comments on our music by guests.

Cocktail PartyReviewed on March 23, 2014From Lumberton, NJ

The music was good and as expected for a St. Patrick's Day party in my home. My contact was slow to respond via e-mail, but we were able to connect on the basics before the party date. My pet peeve is being on time, and they were late. I knew where I wanted them in the house, but clearly it was not to their liking so a bit of reorganizing took place before the party. The lead contact not friendly but not unfriendly. His partner made up for that. They seemed nervous with people, but not when playing music. They drove across my lawn when backing out. That made me mad.

Wedding Cocktail HourReviewed on September 26, 2011From Rye, NY

We booked the Bell/Blake duo for the cocktail hour segment of a wedding reception. The booking and lead up to the event was hassle free. They delivered a great performance for the time and venue; their play was enjoyed by all of the guests. I for one could have lstened to them the whole evening. Very satisfied, would recommend them without reservation.
